What cables should I use?...

Hey guys,

So I'm in the process of finalizing my PC build, I'm gonna switch case one more time and will then have everything in place. Might just end up changing the GPU later on and maybe new monitors, but that's it.

So the case I will be switching from is an Fractal Design Arc Mini R2, into an BitFenix Aegis.

My specs are as follows:

i7 4790K
ASUS Gryphon Z97 Armor Edition
32GB Corsair Vengeance BLUE 1600MHz
Sapphire Radeon HD6950 (currently, will change that later on the in the future to a much more powerful card)
Corsair SP and AF fans all with Blue rings.

The PSU I have is an Corsair HX750i, which is also blue... so as you can see, I'm on a Black and blue color theme here.

Now for my question to you guys... which cable kit should I go for?...

CableMods Corsair HX Black and Blue kit or CableMods Corsair HX Blue kit?...

I do currently have the Black/Blue one on hand... but not sure on which one, and I don't want to open one of the bags, as they are still all sealed and can therefore return it easily and exhange it for the blue kit (if I so choose that one)...
But I wanted to ask you guys first and see what you would say.

The reason I ask, is that JR pointed me at Lowfat's build a while back, which just is phenomal... although, I don't watercool, so it won't be as balanced as his is. Due to he has the tubes in blue sleeving as well, which gives it all a nice touch.
As mine will only consist of the cables.

Remember also that the blue on the kit that I have, isn't a 100% match to the blue rings on the Corsair fans and PSU though :/

Thanks guys,
Chrazey

The reason I pointed you at Lowfats build is because things don't have to be very blue at all to get a really intense theme. You should know already that I would hit up Pexon and get some full custom stuff made and probably go for a combination of light blue, dark blue and black. So that they match the fans but also darken the theme. Check out Parvum Beast by beckmodz, another epic black and blue theme. There's no reason why you can't achieve something like that without going full retard watercooling just pick wisely and keep things simple.

Thanks for the post, although not entirely sure what to make out of that though ... about "There's no reason why you can't achieve something like that without going full retard watercooling just pick wisely and keep things simple." - Not entirely sure what you're referring to here.

Sorry, just me that is a bit slow at times... but from my understanding... you basically say that I shouldn't go with the full blue one, as that would stand out too much, better going with the black/blue cable that I have, which will make it "blend" in more in a sense, yes?... or have I gotten it all backwards?...

Agreed with JR, I'd go Black & Blue it breaks it up but yet still has the accent your after.

Throw in a white led here and there and watch it all pop. I'd be a good idea to bring out the blue little more if that is what you are after

Yeah, have gotten the Corsair Commander Mini and Corsair RGB Led strips as well :)

Also guys... do you know where to get those transparent "clips" that you put around the cables?...
