Western Digital Caviar Black vs Seagate Barracuda

Im going to be running a raid 0 on my HDD's and wont to know which would perform better out of them two HDD's

its for storage got an intel 520series for storage

they will perform the same, but in my experience the WDs are more reliable than Seagate's offerings

If it is just for storage you might want to take a look at a WD green or a WD blue

WD as I'm biased. Black not really necessary for home use tho.

if its for storage then i really wouldn't raid 0. hard drive failures are rare but if one goes then thats all your data gone. if you were to get 2 1tb wd black for raid 0 then i would reccomend getting a 2tb hdd to back up or something like that. but thats just my opinion

Never forget, raid is never for backup, be it 0/1/10/5/whatever.

I would say go for the western digital WD5003AZEX, WD7500AZEX, WD5000AZRX

WD, they're just more reliable.
