Meh thing is dude these projects start out motivated and within a week you will be bored. Maybe write your own reviews or do your own shopping cart system. Get 99p a month hosting with cPanel, then install the software with eCarts (online shopping like ebay) and set it up.

Hardware4U.com - good name

sounds good, but im going to have about 1 year free to do nothing :( so i thought i would make a start now :) i might write reviews or get people to do reviews and ill pay them :) i might let other people sell things on it. i dont want it to make money, it will be for everyone to enjoy

to be able to sell and have reviews ect mate you need hits, and belive me they are very hard to come by :(.

Have you used html code before?

i haven't used html that often, i used it about 3 years ago but have completely forgotten how to do it. as i said earlier i dont want to sell, i will have a few reviews and i havent thought about the hits yet.

So true well said Tom. Getting hits on a website is hard. You might want to start a YouTube channel and create 2-3 QUALITY reviews and get them out there by showing them on forums and to friends. Hell you can even get yourself top of the Google list for ££.

Publicity is the hardest thing to get by, without hits and users why have a website :D.

TTL was very slow when it first went up, really does take an insane ammount of commitment to keep on top of it.

See I havnt done that site for ages, but that is all basic html that can be done with a decent program like dreamweaver.

and the youtube thing sounds like a good idea.

Get started :). Review something interesting first, perhaps the newest purchase.

Good editing is also a need. If you need help editing ask me and I can joint you in the project if needed.

HTML is good indeed but PHP is VERY versatile and you can adapt so much more. Obviously it is harder but you might aswell step into PHP instead of back dating languages.

I know PHP well I know how to put a site together :).

Designing I can also do, and Dreamweaver I swear by!

the games arent that new but im gonna buy some soon probably next week. i was going to buy some new ones today, but i forgot

Well when you do you want to get Fraps in which I can tell you how to get it discounted from their site.

Camtasia can also show you how to get it cheaper :).

Text written about it also, video should be of main points. Video should be voice narated also, it always adds a special touch to the video.

i already got fraps :) came with my gtx260 and i can download as many times as i want

also i was planning to do written reviews and i will get a mate to do the vid reviews, im not a great speaker.

Notepad++

Winscp for the ftp side of things

Maybe I'm old fashioned but I don't like dreamweaver and the like, just prefer to do everything the hard but durable way.

As it sounds sounds like you are going to have a fair bit of content on the site, a CMS (content management system) would be ideal for you. It puts in place the backend and front end for you, and you can fully customise the look of the site. You can even get templates and use these with a little modification (logos etc). Here's an example of one of my sites made with Joomla, which I created and is still a work in progress:

Joomla is easy to get into if you spend some time learning the basics, and negates the need to get heavily into HTML. The beauty of a CMS system is that you can create new content or pages for the site very easily, and you can do so just using a WYSIWYG editor that comes as part of the CMS system. I got the basic look of this site nailed in a couple of days. I just need to add alot more content (articles). You do need to have some photoshop skills to get the site looking good too, and have some quality images. Here's the link for the Joomla website:

There are other CMS packages out there, but I have found Joomla has the most potential to make a good site.
