Webcam for FaceTrackNoIR

I very nearly jumped into an eleven month old thread but the topic wasn't really ideal....

I'm looking for a decent yet non expensive webcam for use with FaceTrackNoIR so I can use head movements to look around in my cabin in ETS2.

Initially was looking at the Logitech C310 but Tesco have the C270 which is more or less the same for £17.

Skype would be another use for the webcam but not its primary use....

any other suggestions or reasons why not to get the C270 but the 310 instead?

In all honesty fella, if the thing you're trying to setup accept standard TrackIR I'd just go and get that kit and setup.

I was looking at this and it's a quite a pain in the arse to get working and doesn't work with everything they say it does.

In the end I just got a trackIR and everything has been butter since.

I'm not trying to force you or owt, just sharing my experience.

Yea, but TrackIR is expensive, and came across the facetracknoir as a free version, allbeit not as precise but think it'll be cool to add to the immersion factor of realism in Euro Truck Sim and Assetto Corsa

Id much rather pay £7 (with voucher) for a webcam to do it than pay around the £100 mark.

Pay for what you get i suppose.

Aye fair enough let us know how it goes, I had nothing but trouble and gave up and shelled out for TrackIR.. best thing every for things like arma, flightsims etc etc.

The only thing that would really get the job done is the oculus rift...

Occulus doesn't track movement quite as well as TrackIR at the minute, (yet). If you combined the two it would be just.. amazing

TrackIR has been out fo' yeaaaaaaars. Its too small and not hyped enough for Facebook. Also it doesn't have any advertising space

Just converted my o2 rewards into a £10 amazon voucher so buying the C270 later...

I don't see it working that well with assetto corsa, not really gonna care what's behind/besides me going 180mph round a track but looking forward to Euro Truck Sim and DCS World.

DCS World is a new game with headtracking, the A-10 is heavenly
