Watercooling questions

Hi,
I'm new in this forum and I have some questions about watercooling for you guys. I'm new in the watercooling world and I'm planning a new project very soon.
The thing is that I want a custom loop with acrylic hard tubing and I have the Monsoon 16/13 UV RED hard tubing(no other choice as UV RED 16mm OD) and EK HDC 16mm compression fittings.
So the problem is the Monsoon tub is not 16mm is just 15.3 as I measured it with a callipers. I don't know about you guys but to me 0.7mm looks like alot.
It is not flimsy by no means but I can pull it out of the fitting easily. I made a video you can see next, about this and in there I have the monsoon 16/13mm red uv tube and alphacool 16/12mm clear. The alphacool is 15.8 as I measured, it's more stable and you need a bit of force to take it out comparing to monsoon one.

So my question is: am I being paranoid because I'm new at this stuff and everything will be just fine or I really have reasons to be worried that this things will leak?
Any experiences with Monsoon 16mm acrylic tubing, especially the uv one, issues?
 
That seems to be fine mate, the first hardline fittings I used were the EK, with just an O ring inside the fitting, and you pushed the tube in, and that was it. You've got to remember when they're in place, there isn't anything going to be trying to pull it out, when you pulled on it in the video, you could here a suction pop, to me that was a good thing.

If your worried though, stick with make for make.
The problem I have found is between different makes of fittings and tube there is a good bit of difference, like my EK 16mm fittings, are to big to take the Monsoon 16mm tube, it drops out when you turn it upside down. In the build I'm planning, I'm going to stick with like makes, just be on the safe side.
 
@paulstung Thanks for the info. I know is batter to use the same manufacture for both tubing and fittings but because of the theme I had only one choice for tubing and that is Monsoon UV RED 16mm as no other company has 16mm uv red acrylic tubing. As for the fittings aquatuning didn't had in stock 16mm monsoon fittings to match my theme and in the same time it was half price sale on ek website for their fitings on black friday so I got those. But after a leak test if i see problems, I might change the O rings with ticker ones to fit the monsoon smaller tube better.

Also since is my first loop you think its ok the way I'm planning to build it? It's reservoire -> pump1/pump2 -> CPU block -> GPU block -> 120mm rad -> 120mm rad -> reservoire.

Loop order doesn't really matter. The water goes through everything one way or another. Although having the reservoir feeding the pumps makes sense.

One thing I would say though is to try and get rid of the 120mm radiators and stick to bigger rads. 240+. The bigger the better in both length and depth. Small rads like you've got there will look more messy and cause more hassle than larger ones.
 
I went for dual pumps because of the redundancy and these two small pumps are more silent than one big and powerfull. Also because I will have a lot of 90 degrees bends I dont think only one of this pumps can provide enough pressure.

A D5 can easily outclass 2 smaller pumps dude.
 
Kind of hijacking a bit, but I want to watercool an i5 4690k and a gtx 970 (which I still need to buy), would a 240/280 rad be enough? Websites which have information on how many radiators are sufficient are years out of date (newer tech being more efficient and cooler, etc)

I noticed some of my EK fittings have lost that tight fit to them too probably because of the Orings being under compression for so long and getting slightly wet from dismantling etc. I had to replace the fittings with my spare ones since the pressure from my MCP35x was so great while bleeding that the tube was projected out of the fitting. Since the other end was just a rotary it didnt have that backforce to counter the pressure. What an explosion that made.

I'm switching to the Monsoon or Bitspower 16mm crystal link if i can get them imported to Norway.
