Hi guys,

I got Scarecrows water cooling kit off him and am using the Maze 4 GPU cooler on my FX5950U. It has an Eheim 1250 pump with 1/2" barbs, Thermochill 120:2 rad with Panaflow fans, Maze4, Tygon tubing, and a single T-piece for a fill/bleed tube as I couldn't fit the res in lol. I'm using Purple Ice in there aswell.

Is it normal for it to fill and then for the tubes to go white and loads of bubbles like a throth come into the fill/bleed tube? It's worrying me slightly because i have never used a system as large as this before and the throth just keeps coming, I have to top the water up every like 10-30 mins.

Please someone help

youv'e probably added a bit too much purple ice mate, froth is quite common in water cooling, one tip is to add a drop of washing up liquid, it breaks down the froth (dont add enough to actually bubble though, one drop should be enough).

Its difficult to get the air out without a res, you can leave it running for a while & it should dissapear, give the radiator etc a good shake to shift any trapped air, try running it for a while/switch it off for a while etc etc, it will go eventually. If it doesn't then drain it & add less purple ice next time. The fact you have to keep adding water is a sign the air in the system is being removed, so keep going.

cheers mcmad. Yea I know the difficulties of no res now :( Just couldn't find anywhere to put it in the PC65B, little tight on space.

The froth has stopped now aswell and the level of the fill/bleed tube is hardly dropping so I think the system is flushed out of most air, can't easily shake it which sucks because of the Mach 2 and the rad is bolted to the top of the case, I have shaken it as much as I can without killing anything tho :) .

Also will I NEED RAM-sinks on the graphics card RAM? Whats a safe temp for it?

Cheers
