I understand what your saying and this is my first Aquacomputer product, and I'm impressed with it, but it should have included mounting ears.

Completely agree on that one. I wasn't so much making excuses for them as merely stating experience . I don't think they're likely to change their accessory policy in the foreseeable future.
I also think they should include the heatsink right out of the box.

I'm not sure where he lives, but depending on location Koolance products can carry quite a substantial markup (where I live, for example), just FYI.

I have actually gotten myself a Koolance flow meter for my next build with their new flow meter display unit (the one that has no fan controller). Due to lack of support for Linux or any other UNIX-like system from either Koolance's or Aquacomputer's software suite I'm running my fans on a Lamptron FC5v2.

But since my system is pretty much running on full power 24/7 (BOINC/F@H) and environmental temps are pretty stable around here there isn't really all that much to adjust anyway
