Water Cooling System.

I am not quite sure if my post is in the right place, but I am looking for a very, but very cheap water cooling solution for CPU+GPU (+everything else maybe)

Any Ideas?

Thanks,

A

If you do it mega cheap then you will be better off on air. You either do it properly or you won't see temperatures get any better, and they may well get worse.

Aye for a WC solution you cant do it on the cheap you have to see some big bucks into it for what you want your looking at around £300? I'm sure TTL can give you a better estimate when he comes along...

I agree with what's been said before, but what sort of price point do you consider cheap?

Swiftech h20 220 compact

What do you think about this one :

Xigmatek AIO-S80DP(if this is not good can you recommend me a ver good air CPU cooler?)

Would this be better then some air CPU coolers?

At the moment I have a HD4890(950/1100 1,4V) which has a decent fan so I think i don`t need a VGA WC, can you recommend me a very good VGA air fan?

Thanks.

The AIO solutions aren't good, only the swiftech or custom kits are good.

You could look into used bits to keep the budget down, but still keep performance?

As for the VGA cooler, no need replacing it unless its hot or noisy. If you NEED to replace it, then a model number will help us find a cooler for it.

Ok, for the moment I don`t need a VGA new cooling(air or water) the HD4890 fan is OK and i don`t want to push my GPU more then that.

I have a q6700 with an Akasa 939 or something like that fan and I would like to Overclock-it more the 3,4Ghz.At 3,4 my idle temps are 40-45 and in full load 65-70(+) which I don`t like.Maybe this CPU is not very good OC.

So at the end I would like a CPU cooler, I searched for some and it came up with Thermaltake big typhoon to be one of the best?Any other ideas?

Thanks

nooo, dont go thermltake.. If I were you, I would look at the Thermalrite Ultra 120, Cooler Master Z600 or Cooler Master V8...

For £150 the boys are right air will be best matey. For water your looking at £80+ just for a used rad and pump.

CM V8 cpu or Thermalright Ultra, the gpu cooler really depends what youve got tbh thermalright is a good place to start though.

Drop in what gpu ect and we can have a looksee for you.

Thanks for the info,

Does the Thermalright come with 12mm fan(s) on it?or is just a "simple" heatsink?

I think I will go for CM V8, looks good!

HD4890 is my GPU...dont need to change the fan , cant push it over 950/1100 1,4V anyway...so I dont see the point of changing the fan.

btw tinytomlogan can you PM me with a msn contact or something, because I want to talk with...cant post it here, it will be to long discussion.

For 150 you can get some decent water cooling on the cpu, 30 quid on a EK Supreme LT, 55 Pound on a Thermochill PA120.3 or RX240 (really depends on space), 40 pound on a XSPC 750 pump/reservoir combo (if u do go with this get the smaller rad as the pump is not terribly strong. That leaves 25 quid for tubing, coolant, fittings and fans. That's just my opinion feel free to pick holes in it =]

for £150 you could start out a ok watercooling setup.

mostly second hand though, they have decent rads and other stuff for cheap under clearance at overclockers.

decent ddc pumps are on the bay and so are blocks.

if you can be bothered to shop around, £150 will do you for watercooling imho.
