Water Cooling HELP

Hi guys,

I would like to try water cooling, I'm not familiar with this, so I would like to try wc with my current spec. my sig rig, for beginning, simple loop that will include CPU, NB, GPU cooling ... I'm planing upgrade in recent feature, so it would be good that I buy decent parts for wc that I would be able to use, after my upgrade...

for upgrade I was thinking i5 2500K,z68 chipset, 8GB RAM @1600MHz ...

Suggest me some ideas, solutions and parts for that loop, so I can have something to start with.

lol first off a simple loop is one of those not all 3 it gets a tad bit more complex the more ya add to the loop. I'd wait and wc after you upgraded as this way you save the nb block purchase as you wont need t with SB. Plus finding someone to buy it later will be tuff as not many have an older setup similar to wc.

I'd get one of the kits available from XSPC or EK and add a gpu block to it. Also if you plan on updating ur GPU as well no sense buying a 4850 block as it wont fit what you upgrade to in most cases.

I'm basically in the same boat as you are, so I don't have any great insights. I had started thinking Corsair H100, but then leaned towards an actual component based loop for the performance, quietness, and upgrade flexibility. I see lots of people suggesting an XSPC kit as a starting place, as the price is reasonable and apparently the quality is decent. I'm not as ambitious as you though, I'm thinking stay simple at least initially, and just do a CPU loop.

For me it makes sense to get started and learn a bit before trying a more elaborate setup.

I think its simple loop because I will need to do some work to put it together, if I only wanted to water cool my CPU it wouldn't be simple loop it would be too easy to do, and it wouldn't be justifiable expense, because CPU is cooled enough at the moment, but NB and GPU are not .. so not interesting at all and not necessary at all work ... But if I WC GPU and NB I could squeeze a bit more OC from my PC, and get a bit experience with WC so I could to it more seriously when upgrade arrives ...

I see what ur saying but by not simple I meant as far as having to figure out the right pump for it all depending on block and rad flow it can be a bit daunting

I can just imagine, especially that I'm just learning on this one... but it would be just another challenge I would be willing to solve, and learn it better...
