Would have been a waste of time any way. Remember they showed Doom running at 4k 60 FPS? what they didn't show you was this.

So there was an FPS dip...that happens. I'm sorry but if I have to lower SOME of the settings to high / very high rather than ultra I will still call this a big win for 4k gaming as getting anywhere close to 60fps has been a hard thing.
Overall still calling this a win, especially (hopefully...) at the pricing that Vega will be brought at...we can hope its not stupid expensive!

Kinda amusing after their big mouth about Volta - but we need to see way more and unbiased stuff first of course.
It was one dip that lasted maybe a second, could of just been an early driver problem, most of the time it was near 70fps
Ya know how people react though. They only need one fault...

Ah sorry mate, I understood that it was consistent - my bad!
There's a video that AMD themselves put up on there youtube channel of it with the dip in it, so it's not like they hid it its just people like to bash on AMD because it's the in thing to do, people forget that without them not a lot of us would be getting graphics cards at the prices we do. Anyway back on topic, hopefully AMD will sort out another live stream at some point in the near future
How long before AMD release Ryzen and vega, and is it going to be a short enough time that people don't get tired of hearing it's on the way and go buy something else
That Scottish guy from YouTube suggested Vega might not be out until May. But waiting until May is surely not a good idea if they have functional silicon now. That's five more months of potential costumers giving in and going for a 1070 or 1080 instead. Also, if they do have working silicon that is "very, very competitive", why wait until May? Unless they know they need to squeeze more out of it, get that sucker out.
I think overall Vega will be a staggered release, which I don't like. I'd rather we had the major contenders out at once (like the Fury line) so that people know what it is they want to purchase from the stack, at least at the high-end. Then the midrange stuff that's supposedly replacing Polaris will come later. I still don't buy into that rumour, but we'll see.
