Want to change case fans on Haf X

Hi guys,

I want to change the fans on my Haf X case, i will want to buy 2 x 200mm, 1 x 230mm and 1 x 140mm to replace the existing Coolermaster fans that came with the case.

I don't know what model fans come on the coolermaster case from factory. But i am concerned about looks and noise.

I have a bit of a theme going on with the Assassin board sitting inside, so black and green.

Can anybody recommend me some fans that they think are good, have good noise levels and look the part, i wouldn't mind if they have green lights on the fans either. Otherwise they are fine to be just black or green.

now the 230mm ones are hard to find, bitfenix is one of the only companies that produce them... and well there fans are just average, nothing special, but here is a link anyway http://www.bitfenix.com/global/en/products/accessories/spectre-led

Xigmatek fans in my opinion are great for case cooling

done quite a few client builds with them in the past.

Theres no problems with the look of my ones, i'm just making an assumption that the stock case fans are probably not that good and i can replace them with something better.

The bitfenix 230mm fan shows specs of 97cfm and 20dba, that sounds reasonable for such a large fan.

Looking at the stock coolermaster fans i dont think i can identify which model they are to compare to other fans on the market, what are the megaflows like?

i have two them in my haf one in the top one in the front there not bad very Quiet.......

The mega flows are exactly the same as the stock fans in the HAF X, they also out perform the bitfenix 200mm fans too. link to the spec page of the mega flows

Ah that was the main thing i wanted to know, looks like i will be changing the LEDS on my front fan to green then.

well not all the stock fans are mega flows

just the one in the front, the side, top and back stock fans are ... umm.. not as good as the one in the front.

if you can get green megaflow's for the side/top i would do that, and for the back since it can fit 120/140, you can get any other green fan you want, maybe a bitfinex one?

I have changed the LED on the front mega flow to green now, looks lots better.
