Wall Mountable Skylake GTX980 Ti Gaming System Competition

@Sfelock

I didn't view it as a lurker bash at all. Just more or so admitting to lurking.

Meanwhile on the hype train...

Hope this meme isn't too over the top

More important question.

what is the distance between the 2 wallmount holes so we can all prepare our rooms?
Everyone prepares for this by drilling holes in their walls  might have to look at buying shares in Polyfiller.

i disagree.
Tke me for example, i have a £2,300 rig (Nasa-rig)
My wife plays on a hunk of junk because we could only afford to get one system good enough for future proof gaming. Had to sell most of hers to afford it.
I worked hard, got paid, paid bills, saved up and have every right to enter a competition regardless of what i have and haven't got.
In fact, i won a be quiet! case 2 days ago, The wife is now upgrading from a neos to an 800 silent base.
As someone else has pointed out, you don't know why someone is entering a competition. They could have a £10,000 system, and if they won give the prize to a friend or family member.
I answered this some pages ago and anybody gave a sh*t about it :( Thanks anyway! :D

I've noticed a trend here.....It's always the new members with only 1-10 posts asking if the winner has been drawn. Like seriously guys...if you hang around much and are actually ACTIVE in the forums (which was a requirement for the compo) you would know this is how TTL works.....lots and lots of suspense.

Even though I haven't asked that... Does sporadic lurking across 3 years count? Although, had I known the giveaway threads were like this I would've registered ages ago :D

It's not a requirement to be an active contributing forum member. If you were online during your entry, then you were granted and additional entry. Also don't bash those of us who lurk and don't have a high post count. I don't typically have much to contribute here apart from helping with the hype train. I'm broke, I'm not currently building a PC, and I don't have any questions about the little beast I currently have. My lack of contribution does not mean I'm no less deserving than you or anyone else on here who has a post count up in the thousands.

I also understand that Tom will announce the winner when he's good and ready and not a moment sooner. Leave the newbies and us lurkers alone! ;P

Well said! Give this man a Wall Mountable Skylake GTX980 Ti Gaming System :P

It seems like you joined in August 2015 just in time for the competition and already talking about new members like a veteran. You are pretty bloody new aswell at least in my book.

As many pointed out before me not everybody is an individual as active or annoying as others depending on how you wanna put it.

Anyways if it comes to lurking I'm the worst example. I registered on the website in 2012 and lets be fair probabely for a combo but I can't remember and look how many posts I managed to pull out.

But on the other hand I already followed TTL through youtube since 2010. I know it for sure because it was the time when I had my finals and since I'm someone who doesn't like monotonous learning of vocabulary or grammar I watched TTL instead. Yes I'm actually from germany and the reason behind watching TTL other than my intrest for computer tech is the nice british accent and to improve my english skills.

Now that I look at it I can't believe it's already been five years that have gone down the rhine. Anyways I'm not looking down at you just because you've just joined. Because as I said you could have been following TTL for way longer prior to registration who knows. I just don't like how you are trying to make a point about new peeps.

Because lets face it these competitions are also designed to draw attention to the homepage and to attract new members. And obviously if the combo is the reason why they joined ofc they wanna know who the winner is. I certainly wont blame them or anybody who is not willing to skim through 300+ pages to be honest.

Just because people don't regularly post doesn't mean they don't deserve the same chance as everyone else.
I've been lurking on this site for years and very rarely post! :3

But when a hype train this big comes along, it hits everyone in its path!

I get where you are coming from. I have been about the forums just never registered because I never had much to say and I've been following his YT for some time. I registered before the comps after watching the WD40 updates looking to see if anyone had heard anything else about it.

Your opinions are yours and mine are mine. I respect that we have a difference in opinions and I'll leave it at that.
