Hey lads!
I'll introduce you to my wall PC/bench system. The story goes like this. In the past, when I only had my main system available for testing different hardware or software (different HDD's, GPU's, OS versions and so on), I was slowly getting tired of opening it up, switching everything out, then putting everything back in the way it was and while all this was happening, my OS got messed up and a reinstall was inevitable. Also, with so much hardware going in and out of the system, my hardware was getting beaten and could not work 100% after a while, so I had to send most of the stuff into warranty. So much annoying stuff, then one day I got completely tired of it, decided it's time to put together a proper system for myself and just leave it there, NO touchy! Soon after that I bought myself a GA-Z77X-UD5H for a bargain and built a bench with my old 2600k, 4GB G.Skill RipJaws and 840EVO. For a while, it was just sitting there on my table, taking a lot of space and not really looking reliable. One night, I got the idea, why not stick it to the wall? I got a lot of the space on the table back and the mobo is way more accessible! Since then I started having fun with it. It went through so much, I could really say, Gigabyte is telling the truth, it's ultra durable. It's working nonstop, with no problems whatsoever! I also use it to recover data, recover HDD's, test GPU's and all that good stuff.
With my modding ideas slowly coming back to life, I just couldn't hold them back and started ''modding'' the whole thing, making it better. The mobo went through a paint job, the tray got its back IO back and recently, the CPU got cooler with watercooling. How I mounted everything? On the wall around the motherboard of course! This idea was in my head for months and I finally got it done!
The funny thing is, I couldn't find the right name for it, but when I decided to make this thread, suddenly, an idea! Wall-E! Not copying the character, but summing the idea of it in one name!
Ok, moving on to the specs! It's really hard to tell you the specs, because the hardware on it is constantly changing. But the best confing is (when I want to use it for myself):
