Waiting for parts. Not impressed.

Ordered some parts from scan.co.uk the other day that are meant to be arriving before 12. Just checked my emails and there was one from scan saying everything was great, stuff had been dispatched and that it would be delivered between 9 and 5.30.

I specifically paid extra to get it before twelve because I have work, otherwise I can't sign for it or collect it. If I don't collect it it will have to be delivered on a different day. I am not free all day any day of the week and saturdays are the only day I can reliably collect stuff.

Not impressed with this service from scan, considering I paid money for it to be delivered earlier, and now i might have to wait another week to get the parts. I will certainly be making a phone call to them to complain.
 
i hate it when companies do that! had it happen many times and im always sayin well i want my delivery costs refunded because u cant deliever when u said it would be here, ebuyer did that with me just b4 xmas was a day and a half late so they totally refunded my next day delivery, then on closer inspection inside the rather bashed up box the tv unit glass bit was chipped (but it was in a totally hidden bit but they dont need to know that) so i phoned them complained and got 30% off that
 
I've never had anything but brilliant service from Scan and if there is a problem with the delivery it's more likely to be a CityLink problem than a Scan one.

Plus, it might have been wiser to berate them after the intended delivery hour, rather than first thing in the morning.
 
Yeah Scan are generally awesome, Ill try to buy from Scan just because of the service tbh. But as with every single company there are always glitches
 
One of my mates has had terrible service from scan in the last week or so.

He ordered his new PC, before all the snow came, and the delivery company wouldnt go to his house as he lives in the middle of no where, so eventually it got back to scan, who then demanded another cost for the shipping.

So when he asked for a refund, to begin with they refused, and the guy from scan was abusive towards him. No way should that be acceptable, anywhere.

So he went to OCUK and got it the next day!
 
never had a problem with scan in all my years of ordering. OCUK on the otehr hand is a pile of poo esp there cusomer service. How evr that said there can be gliches now and then.
 
Turned out to be a false email! Stuff got here on time as expected. Miscommunication is a bad thing though still. It's not very hard to check what I ordered for the postage times.
