Would vmodding my Current video card XFX 8800GTS XXX 320 mb @ 580 / 900 allow me to have a higher oc without artifacts ??

none , i was just seeing if its possible and the performance increase i can gain , even in benchmarking

I'm sure you can, but i just don't understand the logic.

So instead of 150fps in a game, you wan't 170 at best while cutting ur cards life down by 1/3?

ok , tbh i have no vmodding experience , thnx for the advice i want my card to live long even though it wont be long before its replace by some r600 on something

Yea i flashed my old 6800GT to ultra and it bumped up the core .1v. It didnt last all that long actualy. I think it died like 7 months ago or something like that. Unless you know youll be upgrading soon i dont recomend volt modding things.
