Vista Wreaks Havoc On Games, Says Report

Anywho, I think there`s a bunch of us that need to be requested to Mr Kemps office, coz quite frankly this going off topic is not doing the forum much good in terms of continuity.

Yes well-put...it seems we have a habit of going OT

Prehaps the mods can have a forum section in the `rants` folder that all off-topic replies can be dropped into 1 massively increasing thread. Would make a hilarious read when u don`t know what the topics are going back and fore between and whatever.

Hmm perhaps a good idea but whether mods could be bothered to move stuff instead of just clicking that lil delete button is another thing :p

@Rastalovich: There is no way that you can tell me that if Apple and Microsoft were reversed that Apple wouldn't be the 'bad' OS and MS the 'good' OS.

Who hacks Macs? (no one... gotta make it worth while.) Boy, Windows security sucks. (As Ham would say, "Breaking News: Nothing's Safe". Given 72 hours, a week tops, anything can be hacked.)

Macs are so good, they don't have lock up or have errors all the time! (How much software is made for the Mac in comparison to Windows? Why does Windows always get the blame when software companies make the software to run on Windows?)

Macs are so cool looking! (when was the last time you saw a custom Mac? Anyone ever watercool or phasechange a Mac? I like variety...)

Macs are so easy to use! (So is Windows. Hell, you can customize six ways from Sunday...)

Of all computer users, what percent use Windows and the other Mac? 80-20 to 90-10 percent I would say (and being generous). This puts Windows under the microscope.

This is the 'be-all-end-all' of this debate: If Mac OS's are so much better than Microsoft's, why isn't there a mass exodus? (I can already answer that: Windows won the first battles and everyone makes software/hardware to work with it.)

Ya I know what u`r saying m8y. It`s just u can`t really make the comparison, coz their souls are different, for want of another bad sumation.

U have to understand the companies to understand why u can`t prehaps.

I can`t go on to debuff the rest of the arguements cos they seem a little silly.

I disagree that anything is hackable within 72 hours or a week. I can argue the doss with Ham if he`d like.

I'm no hacker, but my section sergeant was a mechanic whose hobby was computers... he was really good with both Linux and Windows. One of his 'partners in crime' was also a computer hobbyist, only he treaded on the 'darkside'; instead of leaving the Army and being a civilian mechanic when his military time was done, he was picked up by a software security firm for the express purpose of (ta da!) hacking, and making bank in the process (who the h-e-double-sticks wouldn't want that job!?). According to my section sergeant this guy could hack damn near anything within 48-72 hours, a little longer for tough stuff. The bottom line--- nothing is safe.

As for the soul of our OS's, I think Microsoft has done okay insofar as they haven't been completely 'business only' and become another IBM. That would have been $#!††y to. Yeah, Bill sold his soul to the Devil, but after watching 'Pirates of Silicon Valley' I'd say Steve is a w@nker too...

Any1 that may know of me from the 80s will realize how ironic u saying 'partners in crime' is ;)

lol ya media does some wonderful things with movies.

They`ve even got people calling hackers crackers and vice versa.

There are ways of making systems totally secure, against any1, but less likely if u`ve got a 100% backbone of linux or windo$e. Any hacker who believes every system in the world is going to comprize of just the 2 is definately not going to get very far in their dubious pursuits, and ones that u mostly hear about aint worth the salt. The most skilled guyz are the ones u don`t know or hear about.
