For those who are having problems with Windows Vista x64 and USB ports not responding, don't you forget to press F8 at boot to disable driver signature enforcement ? The driver isnt signed, so you have to do this.
With latest updates and SP1 for Vista x64 the command line to disable driver signature is not effective, you have to press F8 at boot -painfull - so if you forget to press F8... well, no more usb ports.
I just applied the driver now with latest updates and SP1 and it works.
EDIT : if you do not want to press F8 at boot, use READY DRIVER PLUS (a script that will press f8 for u at boot automatically)
