Hi, ive installed the latest nvidia driver 64 bit for vista and when i looked at the driver version in dxdiag it said the date is 15/12/2006...is that right? shouldnt it be a bit newer :s

im on 32bit h/e i installed the beta (in hopes for better fps) and had to reinstall vista all over again =P

really bugging me, since vista ive installed/upgraded gfx drivers about 2-3 times now and the driver date never seemed to change. Mabye i have to properly uninstall it from device manager then download and install new one? is there a special way to install them on vista or somthing?

Also i got 7800 GTX which i think doesnt support DX10, would getting a new card supporting it make much difference?

thx.

I don`t know if this is the case here, but often partial steps forward in programs/drivers don`t always bump things like dates and version numbers. Then when a threshold in version numbers is reached, they bump them up to that version.

Another likelyhood could be that u need to use something like drivercleanerpro inbetween installs.
