Vertical 5 1/4 inch bay res

Now down to business, I have a lovely wife and for Christmas she said she would buy my first waterloop for my Christmas present. Well what she said was I'm buying you something for your PC and it's the one thing I wanted :)

So I'm lucky enough to have a corsair 540 and although a great case for air it's also a great case to put a bit of water in too.

So the question is are there any "vertical" reservoirs? The drive bays on the 540 are "sideways" so I'm sure what the best option is.

I could go for tube res I'm just wondering where I would put it. The 240 rad is going in the top and there are currently 2 140mm fans in the front. I'm just not sure if a tube rest would fit between the drive cage at the bottom of the case and the front.

Also got a pair of WD blacks taking up those said drive bays and 2 780Tis taking up a bit of room in the case.

TLDR;
1) Any "vertical" drive bay res on market?
2) is there room for tube res and pump in "front" side of case between drive bay and front mounted fans?
3) there is room for tube res on "back" side of case but asking for options

Thanks

I have the repack dual d5 its a very well designed pump and I can see it being able to mount vertical but not sure if it can be. I really dont see any reason why not. except the path for the fluid to the pump would be up top as well and that may cause bleeding issues as well as maintaining the level in the rez. I know my dual d5 variant is a royal pita to bleed. When I can I'm most likely going either a tub rez and separately mounted pump or a tube style pump rez combo.

Ye that's the problem I have seen loads of bay reservoirs but have no idea if the mounting of them at 90 degrees will put the inlet and outlets in the wrong place.

Thanks for the info guys, if anyone has used one at 90 to normal on a bay res it would be really helpful.

I might go tube instead, just wondering about position? Might go in front of GFX cards mounted to the back of the case... i'll be doing some measurements when I get home tomorrow, so i'll know a little more about space for tube res rather then bay res. Unless I can possibly get an "ice used one vertically for years"

Again thanks guys

Would you have any space round the back (where the PSU and SSD mounts are) to mount a tube res?

Forget the poor cable management for now as you can see by the attachments I'm working through my PSU doing a bit of custom sleeving :)

Anyway ye there is plenty of room back here. Above the PSU and 5 bay SSD caddy there is a good chunk of space and then in front of the PSU under the 5.25 bay.

Once I get the custom sleeves done I'll cable tie the crap out of this and see how much room I've actually got.

The reason for put it in the front of the case with the window or a bay res was to see it. it's always nice seeing your work :) you are right though if i stick it out back it makes it a lot easier.
