I'm looking to buy a new gfx card to add to my loop . I'm a little confused to the different models of the same card as in the boost / oc versions . I understand that there is no need to pay the premium for a fancy heatsink , cos it's coming off any way . But lets say one card is clocked at 800 and the model up is the oc is clocked at 925 . The card at 800 can be clocked to the same , it's just the oc version is out of the box factory over clocked ? Am I understanding that right ?
So if that is right for £40 less it makes sense to buy the standard version of the said card And just over clock it your self ? Or is it that the oc version is a more capable gpu ( cherry picked ? ) Have i just missed something all together ? I also understand to make sure of the right pcb for matching a block too . Cheers for reading guys.
