Hello
This is my first proper post,, and my problem is i have just finished my very first build after running into a few problems
only someone on there first build could run into. e.g. buying a cheap PSU with only one PCIe connector and ONE sata connector
(suppose i should not have expected much from a £15 700w PSU lol.
But yesterday my case arrived (CoolerMaster Storm Trooper) and OMG i have fallen in love!!!! This thing is frikkin awesome,
so i spent the best part of last night routing all the cables( from another cheap 700w PSU i bought, lol, i cant say no to a bargain
then when i came to the USB3 cable which runs internally from a panel at the front of the case, it terminated in a motherboard header.
Now i was expecting to have a normal male USB3 plug routing out the back of the case to the io plate on the motherboard.
Right, my problem is just this, my motherboard (asus m5a97 pro) does not have a USB3 header!!!!! why i dont know, guess they want
more money for such a luxury
SO, can i buy and adapter for this cable turning it from a motherboard plug into a regular USB3 plug which i can route
through the back of the case???
I know im being obcessive about a little thing but i hate not having the full functionality of a new product.
Thanks for listening to my long long simple problem haha
