US Cop beats 15 year old girl in cell

That's horrific, it almost looks as if his mate is holding up a hand to restrain him at some points, like he was saying: "Jesus! Take it easy Brian!"

Not sure whether it should be made public though- could ruin the cop's life for one over-zealous arrest. Obv he should be punished but by a jury not the general public.
 
I hope it doesn't turn into another Rodney King fiasco, and the cop responsible gets jail time for what he done. What he done was pure cowardice, especially considering his victim was a young girl! I would love to see him go up against a man of his size, one on one, and see how tough he was then! I think this video should have gone public, or else the police force in question could have quite easily swept it all under the carpet!

As for it being one bad arrest, I'm more inclined to think that it's probably the first time he's been caught on camera. If he was capable of doing that on-camera, what would he have done off-camera on a deserted street for example?

I've no doubt that shortly before this, they told her they would have to take her shoues because of the laces. This reaction is ridiculous, that guy deserves to go to jail. I'm pretty sure that reaction would have been justified if the victim was a 200lb 6 foot guy who was beating someone up, but this is a fifteen year old who kicked her shoes off.
 
Assuming:

Cop: 85kg

Girl: 60kg

Ratio: 0.71

To make this 'eye for an eye', put the cop in a glass box with a mad 85/0.71 = 120kg professional boxer and see if he still has balls :)
 
Could care less what happens with her tbh.

I'd get the father in the cell too.

Suspend the cop for a while I would assume.
 
Well, cop or no cop, if I caught someone laying his hands on my daughters like that, whether they were guilty or not (which hasn't been proven in this case yet, and still doesn't excuse the cop getting lairy) I would make sure I loosened a few front teeth! A cop is supposed to uphold the law and not act outside it. They are still bound by the laws we all have to live by.

If the girl had been a man, and there was some other provocation going off, I might see how he managed to lose his cool. But to lay into a young girl like that shows him for what he is. I wonder if he is a wife beater too, because any man who can hit a girl like that surely has anger problems. He definitely deserves the sack and jail time. He would be a target in jail, cons don't like dirty cops and they don't like women beaters so he would have double trouble:) I was brought up to believe that any man who hits a woman is the lowest of the low and deserves a right good hiding at every opportunity!
 
Incidents like these don't really interest me, and to be really honest, a peace-officer giving any1 a slapping that is acting up is well within the permission I'd give them.

Peace officers shouldn't even be having to deal with brats like this afaic. There are far more important things in the world to worry about with out having to waste their time on little offenders who act up to get attention.

There'll be riots, there'll be compensation, there'll be suspensions.

And they'll continue to act up in the future. Well more so as whatever their actions were have been vindicated.

There is also a massive difference between the old 'slap round the lug ole' that the police used to dish out to cheeky kids and the full on beating this young girl got! As well as that, are you honestly telling us that it's OK for a grown man AND a police officer to punch a young girl and drag her about like that? I can't believe a grown man would condone actions like that. What next, skip the courts and just give everyone a good beatiing in the cells, then ship them off to pergatory? I too am glad you are not in the hotseat!

A police officer has to use reasonable force when dealing with suspects. Can you honestly say that this ****er was using reasonable force against a young girl's childish actions of kicking her shoe off in the direction of him? If the police are to earn respect, then they need to be seen to be dealing with arseholes like this one, and treat them no differently than if Joe Public had done the same. The law is to be observed and followed by everyone, including the police.
 
She was arrested for stealing a car. I'd say grand theft auto is something the Police should deal with. you're so ****ing ageist Rast.

What a disgusting excuse of a man. I can understand that it was probably a really long day, then there was this mouthy kid who did nothing but be insolant. Then when asked to remove he shoes, kicks them at you.

Yes that would **** me off too, but he's paid to do that. Locking up law breakers is in the job description.

Unfortunately, power draws two types of people. Those who want to use it to help others, and those who want to use it to help themselves. It doesn't take much to work ou what kind he is. There should be no room in a modern police force for this kind of thug.

The fact that they tried to get her charged with assault of a police officer makes me think less of the whole group of them. I know they have to stick together, but if that was my force, he'd be hung out to dry.
 
I might have sympathy with the guy if he had acted with reasonable force, but what happened there was I suspect like being hit by a train. After the initial knockdown, he had time to get up and think straight, but no, he beats on the girl.

Fine the girl was arrested, but last time I checked, it was innocent until proven guilty, not vigilante beating by police.

This sort of behaviour is pretty shocking considering its his job to protect and serve and uphold the law.

He was punching her with brutal force and I highly doubt you need that much strength to hold down a 15 year old girl.

Was harsh, and quite frank really disgusting. The way she flicked her shoes out was like he asked for the shoes and she gave them to him. I didn't see any threat from the girl. When the girl was down the man had control, the punches were too far.

When you get arrested around here they put all their weight on you with their knees. Someone had their back broken by an officer and I think was paralyzed or something bad happened at the least.

Indeed, I'd be alot harsher about a whole load of things no1 would agree with.

It's her parent's car she and another girl stole. How the eff do u get to a stage where u steal ur parent's car and they need the police to get the job done.

When u hear about an incident like this, ur first response should be "what did she do" - the attitude of immediately of the defense of a hoodlum is completely a sign of the times.

It would be the same if a child is beaten at a school - the parent would be up at the school with zero interest in what was done to get to the point.

It so happens the cop in question here has already been cleared of killing a guy after a dui (which happened to be his medication).

My real point is to try and get effers to actually think about what they're seeing and reading, rather than take at face value what u see as being 100% the case.

U have no idea what I really think about this case. U have no idea if I'm telling u exactly what I think should happen or if I'm playing the otherside just to get u to think b4 jumping.

As to the offense. Let's hope she don't take another car and plough through a family whilst being chased.

You'd be surprised how strong they can be.

However, if anyone touched my daughter like that bloke did, I'd spend every day of my 10 stretch smiling and laughing.
