Upgrading my current water cooling loop

Hello peeps First post on here, woo!

So, in a couple of weeks I'm sticking my w/c system into a new case and upgrading to a triple rad, and soon I want to get one of the FrozenQ reservoirs with the acrylic spirals in them. Because of this res, I want clear liquid, so I'm thinking of going with blue tubing. I've never used coloured tubing before, and I was wondering if it ever poses any problems whilst bleeding the loop, because obviously I won't be able to see if there's bubbles stuck halfway along the tubes and things?

Also, I'm not sure whether to get a bay res, or tube one. If the bay res didn't make much noise, I'd much prefer it for the looks, but I don't know how quiet they are, has anyone got any experience with them?

you really can use just one reservoir.. the helix just has a fancy do-dad to it.

yeah, colored tubing has its advantages as well as dis-advantages. generally,
i'll rotate, rock and pitch the case and watching the res for air bubbles. plus
compare the "size" of the loop to how much coolant added. if i have a 3x120
and 2x120 and only pour 3/4ltr, i know that just isn't enough coolant. plus
another tale-tell is the pump. it'll have a tone when not fed tiny bubbles of
air.

Yeah what I normally do when bleeding, just rock it about and tilt it around I'll just watch the res like you say

I think there was some confusion there with the reservoirs. I am only having one res, but I am split between a tube reservoir or a bay reservoir because the bay versions can often be noisy, but the bay one looks nicer in this case IMO.

either option you can have a noise/vibration issue with. most of it is no-air in system,
but some can hum, vibrate worse than others. the D5 and DDC should be fine
in either bay or remote.

what case is this going into?

I'm putting it in an NZXT Switch 810 as I'm going to put a 240 rad in the front at some point. I think ill just go with the tube version as its neater tubing wise, and gives me more free bays. I was planning on getting a d5 too

I'll have to agree with the tube reservoirs looking much cleaner, and it's what I have in my rig as well

The only reason I would personally go for a bay reservoir would be to save some real estate in the interior, but there's really no need for that in the switch 810. Like others say, the D5 pump turned down to 3 or lower is damn near silent, and you definitely wont be hearing it over the fans once the loop is bled properly.
