Tis indeed impressive. My new 10 core does about the same. Only difference is my 10 core pulls 75w and never goes over 26c lol.

I'd have definitely opted for the Ryzen, had I not already had a free board.

Oh and I got the RAM running at its rated 3000 with a bios change today

Great news! I haven't been keeping up with BIOS updates on my CH6 Hero, since Asus apparently breaks something with every update. Fix one thing, another thing breaks. That RAM speed will really help Ryzen when you utilize all the cores.

got up to 68c

Played a little with memory timings and not only can I get running at its rated 3000mhz but also on tighter timings 14 16 16 instead of 15 17 17.
Might see if I can get tighter on the timings but since I bought the wrong RAM I don't hold up much hope of any more improvements.
I should have done my research and bought WAM using samsung instead of the hynix stuff but hey ho
