Upgrade Path

I currently have an ASUS M2NPV-VM motherboard with an AMD X2 4600 CPU. I am wondering whether it would be better to stick with the same board and upgrade to the X2 6000, or buy an Intel P35 based board with an E6600. The upgrade would be made in July/August, and I'm wondering if the C2D line will see a price drop. Of course I have heard the rumours of the Quad price drop, but I still would like to know if the C2Ds will get a similar drop.

You would be better off with the P35/C2D Route.
