Upgrade my rig a bit! :)

Hi all the fans and enthusiasts about PC and stuff. I`m here to ask simple advice what would you recommend for me. I`ve bought this PC 3.5 years ago.

My RiG:
mobo: H55M-USB3
Cpu: i5 760
GPU: GeForce GTS 450
RAM: 4GB elixir
HDD: 1TB
SSD: 60GB OCZ Vertex 2
ATX power supply 600w
24" Monitor W2486L LG LED 1920x1080


I`m here to ask an advice in upgrading cpu cooler (for around 50 pounds) at the moment i`ve got default intel cooler.

2nd thing i`m looking for is a RAM about 6-8GB (up to 80 GBP ) so what would you suggest to me?

erm if i need a new gpu then i will need a new mobo as well... in such a case i should just bouild up a new PC. My thoughts.

I would change that as soon as you can mate. Never heard of that brand and it doesn't exactly look like a good unit.

To answer to your question about a cpu cooler then coolermaster 212 is considered one of the best cheap coolers around

Something from corsair would be good Be quiet are also quite good.

Depends what you are doing. If you want t play games then get the GPU switched first of all and in general is where you would see the most benefit.

PSU might be questionable if it is a no-name "brand" so a good one would be a possible suggestion.

Everything else looks ok really, only really consider new RAM if you are finding that you are running out of RAM quite a lot with the programs you have.

EDIT: Seen the PSU link, I'd advise switching that out first. A good XFX/Corsair/bequiet/seasonic/silverstone would be my suggestion.

i`m not kinda enthusiast of games, (playing just sometimes - havent been playing for half year now) Using softwares which ones ask some RAM yes. That is why i`m asking in ram suggestions.

Ram suggestion- Kingston, Corsair, GSkill and Mushkin are the favourites around here.

oK i see everyone don`t like my psu, will change that one as well. So lets say i`m going for Bequiet one. But how powerfull do i need? 450W? 500W? 700w?

For powersupply, on a budget the CX600 from Corsair is always a good choice

With your rig, you could get away with running a CX430...
Or a CX500 for future proofing a GPU Upgrade...

Looks good mate for ram i'd go kingston, corsair, g skill or mushkin.

I can vouch for g.skill, got them in my rig, my brothers and a friends. All going strong, never a problem
