Hey people, a couple of months ago i had a topic on Overclocking and now i make one on Underclocking, Why? Well... Just because Minecraft doesnt need 4.5 Ghz and it does get quite warm / loud when i play that game and my FPS rockets into the 300's... Theres nothing i need 4.5Ghz for right now because i kinda took a break from BF3 and i dont really know how to get back to default settings, is there an option in my bios?

Well... one thing you can do is reset your whole bios back to stock? usually in the last bios tab with the save settings... "reset to factory defaults" is pretty common... You could just manually drop the clock to what you want?<<<(What I recommend), and if you have a bios raid resetting to the defaults will trash your raid and any other settings you have changed from stock... If you really just want to reset your whole bios, with the sabertooth there is a button on your back I/O panel that is the clear CMOS button (resets the bios to stock)...

Are you overclocking on the Turbo?

By defualt your pcu will idle at 1.6ghz

Under light loads (with all cores <100%) it will run at 3.3.

With a heavy load (at least 1 core having hit 100%) it will increase by x1 multiplier (~100 mhz) upto to the turbo frequency 3.7 or thermal limit.

You could just set the turbo to 4.2/4.3 or whatever you can get and let the cpu throttle up and down it's own volts and speeds. You won't get as high an overclock because it is less stable this way but it seems to suit your scenario.

Oh and use offset voltage too

well ofcourse i can manually clock it to stock BUT i dont remember all the power saving settings and stuff that i need to turn on... and No it doesnt go to 3.3 / 3.7 at medium load it just goes to 4.5

Check to see if you can save overclocking profiles in your bios. If not then just reset the bios like Goldskis45 said. Also you might want to take note of the current settings and voltage before you do so you can quickly go back later

Minecraft has an option in the options if you dont want to mess with your system to much yet still cool it down a little, in the options its called "Performance: xxxxxxx", "Max" has no limit, "Balanced" has a 120fps limit and "Power saver" has a 40fps limit.

Also if you install a mod called "optifine" it will add an option for vsync aswell so should be a little smoother than the "Power saver mode" and there is a ton of extra quality/performance options there aswell
