Types of Ram

Firstly, soz if this is in the wrong section.

Basicially, i want to get another stick of Ram, but i was wondering if there are different types, e.g. gaming Ram, this is my Ram im using at the mo........ 1 x Ebuyer 1GB DDR PC3200 400MHz 184pin Extra Value Ram, if i got another stick of this, would it be as good for games than if i got some "gaming Ram" if its available that is.

soz if its a sily question but u shuda gatherd by now my knowledge on comps is minimal at best

It's been proven that faster speed RAM will give you a couple more FPS

Another thing is that the modules are matched for compatibility in a D Chan kit

But in your case if you dont overclock or anything, just buy the same RAM and it should be ok

How easy is Ram to overclock, as im not the most computer literate, i dont want to end up overcooking something, or anything else, and if i was to buy 2gb of Ram, which would you recommend for moi

It's pretty easy to OC tbh, but you'd have to OC your proc as well to make any difference.

DDR prices are pretty high right now, I'd get a value stick and hold off till you next upgrade

My current proc is a Foxconn 760GXK8MC-S SKT 754 Motherboard AMD 3000+ 64bit CPU and in cpuz it says its running speed is 2.4, i cant remember what the stock is, and i baught my Graphics card already overclocked, if thatl help my cause to overclock the Ram?
