The Corsair Legend
Uses:
Including, but not limited to, heavy video ripping, management, & encoding, heavy music encoding & management, moderate gaming (some of the newer titles for sure (ex. Watchdogs), daily computing, heavy multitasking, and heavy web browsing. This is also my personal computer.
Limit:
$4,000 (USD)
Requirements For This Build
I wanted a fully enthusiast build with performance and silence to match it, but I at the same time I wanted it outlined in a Corsair fashion to preserve the case and notice-ability of the Corsair brand. If anyone sees ways to improve it without damaging the cosmetics of the components (color scheme, which is Red & Black), suggest something, and it will be considered. My requirements for this case are as follows:

The Luxe Edition of Performance
Uses:
Mostly gaming with some light music & video management, along with basic daily computing. This will be my fiance's computer, with a purple led look to compliment the case.
Budget:
$3,000 (USD)
Requirements For This Build:
There honestly aren't that many requirements for this build (there's so few that I won't even number them). For starters it has to have a window, be a full tower (her desk is 30" off the floor and it has to sit on the floor), and it also has to be able to change colors on the fly, which is why I chose the Phanteks Luxe for the case (as a bonus I don't have to use the NZXT Hue with it which I love but it would ruin the look of the case). My fiance is upgrading from a Dell Laptop that ran a Core 2 Dual with 4 gigs of Ram & a 15.5" screen. She uses her computer alot but not heavily like I do, just mostly for games, watching movies, & listening to music. I thought the 1 TB SSD would be a nice touch for her since she doesn't really want to mess around with dual drives and that sort of thing. Windows 8.1...I know....she likes the look of it tho. I chose the motherboard I did since it has the Bluetooth built into it, the WiFi is just a plus. I plan to emulate a Wii & Gamecube console on her computer and use a original Wii remote with it via Dolphin.

- 1 TB SSD: for all of my games & programs, along with room for the operating system and updates on there. Also I might do a dual boot down the road with Windows 8.1 & 7. This will be my primary drive.
- 2 TB HDD: for all my music & personal photos.
- 2 TB HDD: for all my movies & TV Shows (I stream them heavily to my Xbox 360 Windows Extender via Media Browser).
- 2 TB HDD (might go 3TB on this one): for all my backups, this will backup my main hard drive on my computer, the other computer (The Luxe Edition of Performance, & my personal laptop, all 3 will have 1 TB SSD's in them for primary drives).
- Full Tower: This build required a full tower build, because of the fact it will be sitting on my floor. My desk is about 28" off the ground. It has to have a window for what I am trying to go for.
- Graphics Cards: I thought it would be better to go with two 290's, since the 290x's run hotter then that, plus they are cheaper. I am trying to run three 24" screens with 1080p, so I believe that this should cover any game I want to play with all three screens up during gameplay.
- RAM: I chose 16 GB of ram because of the excessive video encoding I will be doing with this system.
- PSU: I know that a 1,200 Watt PSU is complete overkill for this system, however according to PcPartPicker, my system fully loaded down as is right now, rates at 796 Watts, and with a 860(i) from Corsair that would only leave me with 60 Watts of juice left. Now be that as it may, it would be enough to power this system comfortably, however in the future I plan on triple crossfire, and upgrading those 2 TB to 4 TB drives with the addition of 3 more 4 TB drives. Also in the way out there future I want some head room if I decide I want to water cool.
- Triple Monitor Stand: I will be purchasing this with my system, I will take recommendations for them, I just haven't gotten around to looking yet, preferably under $100.00.
- Retailers: I will only be using Microcenter (I don't have one here so it will have to be shipped unless I pick it up when we visit family up north), Newegg, Amazon, & NCIX.
