hi guys

Well after watching the Guvs vids for a while he has got me hooked on doing a water cooled system and trying to get started on the OC path dam him.

so rig at moment

cooler master haf case
asus sabertooth 990fx r2.0
asus gtx 1070 founders edition
amd fx 9590 black edition
Samsung 850 pro 250gb ssd
Seagate 1tb hdd
corsair 3200 16gb
cooler master Neptune 240 cpu cooler aio
cooler master real power m620

running an asus 27"rog swift PG278QR gaming screen aloung with razer keyboard etc etc this is used for gaming and browsing.

At the moment ive always thought it runs to hot so purchased the Neptune few months ago to get the cpu temp down seems to have done the trick so far no blue screens anymore after gaming for a 4/5hrs solid.

So found TTL after watching the world and his dog lol and really enjoy the reviews so joined this site.

Was going to go down the eiswolf route etc as per the define C build review but after asking a couple questions have decided sod it might as well go balls out and jump into water cooling for real lol.

shopping list so far,

going to have a chat and see if they would be willing to swap out the connections in the kit for black ones as well.
will probably grab 4x90s as well just incase.

going to change to intel for this build so,

https://www.komplett.se/product/909...ntel-socket/asus-maximus-ix-hero-socket-1151#

power supply need to look at but thinking a 750 or would u recommend higher

any suggestions on this build would be greatly appreciated:D

p.s have never over clocked anything in my life lol but looking forward to the oc review when its done and will no doubt ask a million questions, took first steps today and down loaded evga precision so I can keep eye on gpu for a change

Ye, i misread the post and thought you were going to an fx, i deleted when i re read it properly.

I dont think you would need a 750W for your build though fella. I think even with a 650W there would be a lot of headroom

Forget about using the EKWB GPU PWM fan cable unless you can accept a constant 1050 RPM on your fans no matter how low they can go in duty cycle. I already tested this with a GTX 1080 Founder's Edition and a powered PWM hub connected.

My Noctua iPPC PWM fans go as low as 18% in duty cycle, but when connected to the graphics card you're limited to at least 27%. But even that isn't 1050 RPM (in fact it's about 550 RPM) on this fan, however the graphics card doesn't care. It will force a minimum of 1000+ RPM at all times.

You have been warned :)

funny you should say that had evga running whilst raiding tonight gpu was 67-70dg and fan speed was 2500 odd, at 34dg its 1760ish,, while have to check what its at on start up.

Are you saying it will control the chassis fans, if so what would be best way around that.
