Ok So I am planning to upgrade my current build to something that will allow me to be able to record games for game commentary etc.

I am trying to decide whether to go with the Phenom II X4 or the Phenom II X6 (Black edition of course)

Or This: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.614535

As for the other parts I plan to buy:

4GB of DDR3 1600 Ripjaws: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231277

Which mobo/processor do you guys think I should get?

neither of those mobos are great at OCing. try a MSI 870a fuzion power edition instead

I'd recommend the MSI 870A Fuzion Power Edition or the Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD5. But from those two I'd recommend the AMD 1090T + MSI 790FX

Have you looked into sandy bridge. just a thought...

You will also need to have at least 2 separate SATA hard drives one for your OS, etc and the other to record your games to. (meaning there will be no little to no loss in FPS during recording)
