trouble with my motherboard or cooler?

I recently had a i7 920 with R2E board which could do 4ghz stable with only 1.28v

I now have a different chip still D0 stepping though and different board.

having abit of trouble trying to get 4ghz though

im on the R3 Gene, cpu cooler is h50.. which is the first time im using it and I honestly think its trash, I would place a

hyper 212 plus above it, anyway any1 got a R3 Gene? any suggestions?

ideally I would like a good stable 4ghz.. or even 4.5ghz..

I'm also thinking of buying a golden i7 920.. and option for cooler would be the XSPC watercooling kit for 140.. OR

just buying a coolermaster hyper 212 plus or thermalright silver arrows ( already had noctua before) and just get a stable 4ghz

every chip and board is different and will net different results sounds like the cpu is of lesser bin than ur old cpu
