Trouble getting RAM to run at listed speed

I have been having issues getting my RAM to operate at its stated speed (w/o crashing the PC after a few min)

I have Corsair CM3X2G1600C9 ram, which says that its max bandwidth is 1600mhz, however CPU-Z is saying that its max bandwidth is 'PC3-10700H (667 MHz)', currently I have it running at 1140 MHz.

At my bus speed the next stage up is 1520 MHz, however when I set the ram to this and restart the PC it will crash after a few min (it starts/logs in and I can use programs, the screen stops displaying when it crashes).

My MB can support up to 1600 MHz.

try bumping up the Ram voltage, you should be able to set the speed of the ram directly and also the timings

Right ignore ^^^AMDFTW for a start.

Firstly can you please post your clocks of the dram voltage and also the QPI voltage.

DRAM Voltage should be 1.65v, I have no idea how to check QPI w/o using BIOS though and I can't restart my PC atm.

Anything we do will require access to the bios mate tbh.

When you go in there, now noticing your system is overclocked can you please jot down all the frequencies and voltages as tbh it just sounds like a badly set up clock.

Finish doing what I was and have checked bios, its possible its the OC I suppose, first time i've done it. I just found something that worked and wasnt too high from other ppls experience and stuck with it (it lasted 8 or so hours running prime95 and doesnt randomly crash unless i cause it).

Turbo Boost/Spread Spectrum/Execute Bit Support/C1E Support/Overspeed Protection: Disabled

Base Clock: 190 (Adjusted Core Freq: 3800)

Voltages:

CPU +0.080 (1.208 V)

CPU PPL: 1.84

QPI: 1.24

DRAM: 1.65

DDR_VREF_CA_A/B/C: 0.875

DDR_VREF_DQ_A/B/C: 0.845

NB/ICH: Auto

(I think most of these, other than cpu/dram, were changed by MSIs supplied OCing software, I never bothered changing them back)

DRAM:

Timing: 2N

9-9-9-24

Under DRAM max bandwidth is 666, however when I enter XMP Support its 800 (also, some of the timings are different, and some of the CLKs are different under XMP even though timings are the same).

EDIT:: I'm going to reinstalling Win7 as I'm setting up an SSD and 2 Spinpoints F3 in RAID 0, is it recommended that I restore default settings until I have installed/updated windows or does it not matter?
