Trick or Treat?

2 kids - one 14 dressed as a ghost, the other 10 dressed as a werewolf.

Neither went "trick or treating" but stayed with us and scared the kids coming through. They had a whale of a time, from the son helping me to set up "hammer and nail time for him" to the daughter making her costume and blowing flour as people got near to create the ghost image.

Yes I agree it is commercialised but I would rather have my kids at home where I can keep an eye on them than out loose - egging people, cars etc.

They now have the koudos that it brings, the kids who saw them today (in Asda shopping ) bigged up my kids ego big style.

So for me and the family it was worth it, I am just starting work on the purly gates for my Christmas extravaganza.

I think you're one of the good parents mate, kudos for that and for doing it in the right spirit.

It's the idiot I get annoyed with!

I feel I will have to explain this pic :) This is what you are greeted with after walking down the Dark funnel shaped tunnel I created with the same screening you can see in the picture.

the picture itself is the entrance to our porch overhang (about 2 meters) before being able to knock on the door. The ghost is just hanging there but looks painted on there is string dangling down (to brush against victims :) ) as there was on the way down the 10m tunnel. A strobe light was also pointing up at the ghost to light it up , obviously the camera flashed and I could not be bothered getting my tri pod out but now wish I had.

The next pic is our lass, note that her blood drink is not visible in this picture but it was similar to what Rast had been drinking :)

Great stuff.

Next year I'm getting a pumpkin, even if I have to kill some1 to get it !

chudley's done the majority proud there I think, outstanding pics.

hmmm I might spend some time in the US in 2011 halloween time, just to find out what it's like in a small town of a few thousand in North Texas, where I heard stories somewhere about some unexplained gruesome deaths around October each year ... might have to camp near Lake Texoma to find out for sure.
