2 kids - one 14 dressed as a ghost, the other 10 dressed as a werewolf.
Neither went "trick or treating" but stayed with us and scared the kids coming through. They had a whale of a time, from the son helping me to set up "hammer and nail time for him" to the daughter making her costume and blowing flour as people got near to create the ghost image.
Yes I agree it is commercialised but I would rather have my kids at home where I can keep an eye on them than out loose - egging people, cars etc.
They now have the koudos that it brings, the kids who saw them today (in Asda shopping ) bigged up my kids ego big style.
So for me and the family it was worth it, I am just starting work on the purly gates for my Christmas extravaganza.
