My first one

So, recently, my dad decided to upgrade our "outdated" 3.5/0.5 connection with something better, 50/10

I was of course glad for it, and thought my D-Link DWA-547 + an DIR-655 would take the job of providing me it, easily. But I was wrong.

Even with the new connection, I got speeds like 6-8/5-7, usable, but not what I wanted. So I started to troubleshoot, but it seemed like I was the only one with this bad connection. My computer is only 5 meters away from the router, with only a door in the way. I got 1-2 bars, even when using a DWA-160 ( Yeah, my dad is a D-Link fan boy

So my dad went out and bought a new router, a Netgear Range-Max, which had 8 internal antennas ("!"), and it would terminate the issue. Dream on. The problem got even worse

, my internal one wouldn't connect, and the USB one still gave me 1-2 bars. I have thought about running wires into my room, but my dad won't let me

. I have lived with this "setup" for 1 month now, and dad (surprisingly) found this adapter. He ordered it, and it came in my post box two days later.

As you see, this is the box. It says what's in the box, and gives you a little info about the device.

This is what's inside the box. A Quick Installation Guide x2, Purchasing Guide, a Driver CD, aswell as some other stuff..

Here is the adapter itself. It is very small (and light), and could easily fit in your pocket, together with the USB-wire.

Here is the adapter with the antennas flipped up. The antennas are easily fold able, and feel quite sturdy.

This adapter has it's connection on the front. Any mini-USB wire will fit, and you could possibly switch out the wire for a longer one.

This is under the adapter. It has four rubber feet, which holds it fairly well in place.

By the looks of it, I didn't have so good expectations about this. I thought it was a little too light, and felt very cheap. But, I was wrong. In contrast to the other adapters, this one got 4 out of five bars, and it kept the connection on 300 Mbps. It works very well, and i'm happy with it. It is cheap, and is affordable by anybody who would like to upgrade their laptops internal WiFi, or use it with a desktop. I'm not a "reviewer", but I just wanted to do a "review" of this.
