To Cool Error Message

Hi

I recently bought a Mach 2 GT from Ebay, unfortunately it wasn't packed too well, the inside of the compressor (?) was rattling a lot, made a mark on the side of the case bending it outside for example.

When I power the thing up outside the case with the molex and power cable connected, it slowly drops the temp every 2-3 mins so that it gets to about 14 degrees before the "to slow" error message appears. I've re-flashed it with no joy. When I switch it on I can hear gas? whilstling down the pipe and to the head.

Any advice gratefully received! I guess its probably stuffed. I'll try looking for leaks in the meantime!

P.S. The ebayer isn't answering any of my emails so I have no history.

Cheers

Drew

9/10 times, too slow means the unit is low on gas and will probably be leaking.Try not to run it anymore and maybe report the e-bayer if he won't answer you.You are in the right place if you wanna get it fixed though.

Hi Phil, who will be privy to this database of eBay fraudsters then? I hope I haven't offended you in any way by asking?....?

Regarding the 'To Slow' error message I experienced this once too when first switching the unit on, after buying the Mach II off of eBay, and the same thing happened, ie. the temp. dropped ever so slowly and then the unit switched itself off. After repeating this several times, waiting the obligatory 2 minute shutdown delay, I discovered the 4 pin molex plug was not connected to the psu which was also switched off. After connecting the plug and powering on the psu everything worked exactly as it should. Now I know you said that you made all the connections but I would suggest rechecking everything. When you have ruled this out then it makes very good sense what Thickbrit is saying, just think about it logically: the lack of refrigerant is not allowing the unit to operate as it should. A good analogy would be the amount of blood in a normal human being: too little and blood pressure is dangerously low therefore the vital organs are starved and the human keels over.

I do hope you can sort the problem out or get a full refund from the w_nker who sold you the faulty unit, keep us informed.
