Titanfall Proper

Anyone bought the game?

How is it even possible for a Source based game with no Singleplayer mode to take up 50GB of space?

RIP SSD space :(

Hopefully some of you will buy it - look forward to playing with y'all.

SSD space? nah mate, straight to the mech' for it. I can't let Origin access my SSD D:. I had mixed feelings about it so I might get it in a months time (gives them time to patch it) and wait to see what dumb DLC they put in it. It has potential still I think so I'm quite interested to see where it goes.

It'll be because of high res textures, same as Ghosts. Only Titanfall textures really aren't the impressive o.o

i preloaded. near pooped when i seen that. i have read its because it has 35gb of audio including all language packs that arent optional. which is a bit of a joke.

yeah, the best part was when Origin crashed on me... right after it finished unpacking that 35gbs!!! it had to start over.

its a combo of the audio and the huge texture files. But, love it.. so who cares :)
just dont install on your SSD unless you have one of the big ones... or a few.

I have a few around 13 gigs left over which, in honesty, is fine for my usage. I just had to get rid of some the games I haven't used in a while :)
I'm pretty excited for it after watching some livestreams etc. and, for as long as they don't go down the BF4 route, it should get better and better with patches and updates.

I think there are a lot of gamers who can't bring themselves to play COD anymore but can't get into Battlefield either - hopefully this should bring them out again :)

I ended up downloading the .exe file to play it early.

Have been playing it for a while now and I am enjoying it, however I won't need that .exe file now as I can just launch a VPN, to play it now.

The install extracted 35Gb of audio data and it's rediculous that it does that and doesn't give you a choice, to actually choose what languages you want to install.

can the audio files be re-extracted out and ousted from the directory post-install to save space?

Waiting for this to drop in price, it's not a game I want to pay full price for to be honest. I bought Castlevania, Thief and DarkSouls 2 recently so i'm in no rush to buy it.

50gb though? dayum. o_O

cdkeys have it on for ~£26

I've got a 240 ssd specifically for BF4 and Titanfall. Plus a few TB of platters, so I'm not too concerned about space, but I would DEFINITELY recommend putting this on an SSD. I've tried both and on platter I spent a total of 8 minutes out of 30 waiting for maps to load and only 3 minutes out of an hour on the SSD (yes I sat there with my phone stopwatch, lol)

I shall hopefully be getting this tomorrow then I shall be continuing to enjoy it. Was a fresh of breath air compared to the other shooters I played (mainly CoD).

Will probably be looking for some more UK guys to play with me and some of my party if interested.

Having this game on an SSD is a waste, you cant start the map before anyone else anyway
