TITANFALL Beta

i actually got a key i need to change for the pc one, if i dont get one now coz you bastards are faking shit! ill kill you all....on Titanfall.....when i buy it

Also guys there are a lot of Youtuber's giving out codes on Twitter. One thing I've done is made a custom search on tweetdeck for Titanfall which gives immediate real time results if one gets posted.

Hopefully you guys can use this :)

My download speed went crazy when I was downloading it.

My mate is just downloading it now and a whopping 1MBp/s so had to show him this.

mine spiked to 10MB/s. on a 11mbit/s connection. yea i doubt it, i don't know where those numbers came from but surely not from my connection.

For me Origin always downloads 1MBps faster than my actual download speed.

Strange thing is it must be downloading at that 1MBps faster because it gives you a time ETA based on the rate that it is downloading at. So if it finishes in that time, then it was definitely at that speed or else it would take longer.

I tested it on BF3 once and it downloaded in the time it gave me for 1MBps faster. I worked out the time it would have taken me to download at my normal speed before hand and it 100% did download faster.

Don't ask me how, I just know it did :)

That screenshot is one of the reasons I like my Virgin Media broadband because for me it quite often makes mistakes and gives, me stupidly faster speeds that I should be getting.

i am pretty sure they are calculating something else into the speed because if you have a connection that does 11mbit/s it won't suddenly do 8x the speed just because origin wants it to.

Wew. Just had some time to play my first two games. Half of the time I have no idea of what's going on :p

I'm completely battlefield-minded, which doesn't really work in the game. You háve to keep moving, watch that radar and use the right techniques at the right times, either on foot or in a Titan. I didn't do too good tbh, but I'm sure going to try it again later today! :p

All I know is that it downloaded in X amount of time and when I compared it to my normal speed and how long it should have taken it was faster.
At the time I tested based on the ETA I only had a 20Mbit connection which was 2.2MBs download speed. Origin was downloading at 3.3MBs.

I have a 60Mbit connection now and my max download speed is 7.4MBs, I have seen Origin go up to 10MBs with my new connection.
I haven't tested the time to download based on ETA since when I tested it with BF3 on my 20Mbit connection, but it was downloading faster than it should have back then.

I know this is a Beta and it's most likely because it is not optimized, but this game is eating up 3.6gb of my Vram :o

What settings are you playing at? It defaulted me to 16xAA on a 270x xD

I get a stable 60fps on max settings with AA toned down, which is perfect for my 60Hz monitor :D

I turned everything up to max settings and disabled Vsync and triple buffering.
The game is FPS locked to the refresh rate of your monitor though, so 60 fps for 60hz and 120 fps for 120hz, at least that is what I have read anyway.

Played this on PC and on Xbox One. Is pretty enjoyable, as a CoD fanboy I must say this is better than the last offering (Ghosts) by quite a margin.
Shall spend the weekend testing it out some more.
Running at everything maxed and haven't dropped below 52fps yet.

It's FPS locked even with VSync disabled? Dafuq. No wonder I didn't push past 60fps. I wonder what happens if I capture gameplay. Will it limit my fps to 60 then push it down because I'm capturing, or will it keep me at stable 60fps because I'm actually pulling 80~?

Guess I gotta go find out! xD

100% FPS capped

A interview with the community manager for TF here talking about some of the things about the game and explaining about the FPS cap etc.

Thanks, I'll give that a listen.

Better than hardlocking it to one framerate I guess. At least people wouldn't notice the difference above their monitor refresh rate. Anything else is just a "safety net" as I like to call it.

definitely not true.
i got a 144hz monitor and the game is still capped at 60 fps without vsync. with vsync it locks at 144fps, but i sure as hell won't play with input lag.
