Titan 2-Way SLI Bench Marks

At first I was baffled about why the Titan's were reaching 80c all the time... then remembered the features. It's very nice to see it working this nice. I want to see some waterblocks dropped on them and see how well they perform. :)

Yes, I'd also like to see them overclocked. They are not being pushed at all where some of the other cards are overclocked out of the box.

Kingpin has already beaten the previous LN2 O.C. record in 3DMark11 with quad SLI GTX680's with quad SLI Titans... on air... -_-

What a stupid card.

£1000+ for something that's easily beaten by SLIing two GTX 660s. Madness.

Had a right old LOL recently. A guy I know bought two in SLI as, quote "I need them for triple screen gaming in 3D" and then Crysis 3 came along and they weren't even powerful enough hahaha.

Cards like this should be shunned because it just gives companies like Nvidia a green light to charge £1000 for every one of their new high end cards.

Thank god for AMD keeping things in check ! I'd rather have a SLI or CFX set up over a Titan any day.

its around £800 Maplins sell it for £820 and online ive seen the 690's for alot more. and there are benefits to having a single GPU card, but as i said before under water cooling thes cards could dominate, ive seen comments showing 1.5Mhz and also its not just designed to be plain GPU's with the whole double precision cudas

And AMD or NVIDIA they both push for the most money they can get
Id be happy with either, just stuck with NVIDIA due to my monitor
but i would admit i think id rather water cool two 670's and massively overclock them.

I saw the 690 @ £720 lately..

The problem isn't that it's a single GPU card. The problem is the price that Nvidia think they can charge for it. All they are doing is pricing 99& of their audience out.

Everything about the Titan is right apart from the price. It's also full of crap that desktop users don't need (like 6gb vram, how stupid).

When the 8800 Ultra released it was £650 or so. No one I know bought one, every one opted instead for the 8800 GTX.

AMD are running rings around Nvidia now with prices tbh. A 7970 could be had last week for £269 delivered with about ten games. Mate of mine bought one and then sold the games for £90.

AMD have been doing their homework recently. IE - don't waste time and money on stuff like a 7990 and just concentrate on getting out cheap powerful cards and getting into bed with game developers so you can offer amazing pack in deals full of games.

And they're doing a bloody good job of it. Nvidia however? well they're still so far up their own asses that they can charge what they do for their mid ranged parts and then really take the piss with what was supposed to be the GTX 680.

£1000 for any GPU (that's what every one is selling them for atm) is not acceptable tbh. They'll find that out the hard way when they realise just how hard this recession is hitting every one.

well i have one answer :) dont get one and sit with your gpus you like :)
a titan would do me fine with my uni works :) that power will help.
along with looking nice in my rig.
and most people who buy these are gonna use them to benchmark, or use for professional systems (like in companies were it makes ends no meat how much the card costs):)

They won't be used in professional systems as they don't come with the support needed. That's what Tesla is for. No professional can rely on the drivers that Nvidia puts out for the home user market. Far too unreliable tbh.

This is just another server rebadge. Nothing new they've been doing it for years. Hilarious part is that the strengths of Kepler and Titan are completely unused in desktops.

So any one considering one of these? go for it. Just know that you are giving a green light to a company to let them know you'll pay a grand for any new card they make at the high end.

was a good comparison its just a shame he did not have a 690 knocking about

As thats the card i'm getting I would have liked to see a comparison... From overclockers.co.uk at an average £914 with competitors I have ordered in the EVGA GTX690, great but sneaky marketing strategy by nVidia but you cannot fault them for quality!

WOW, here in the US I can pre-order one for the equivalent of £665 to £699.

That is $999.00 to $1050.00 USD.

Thats just mean thats upset me now under £700!!! WOW indeed.
If I cancelled getting a GTX690 even though its EVGA what other options are there for making 2d/3d concept or full 3d models? (apart from the Quadro series, where nVidia simply kick a&^!!) ??

We're always seen as an island for companies to screw over. Not forgetting we have a 20% sales tax (AKA value added tax).

But companies like Nvidia never lower their prices to reflect that tax so we always get screwed.

I used to live in the USA for closing in on ten years so I have a few friends out there. If there's anything I really want I just get them to send it over

That is very kool, hopefully my system parts will be in and part constructed because of watercooling, the way i see it is i get my i.t. guy to sort out the water cooling for the case and i think i'll get the hitman symbol as a window and get 'Merces Letifers' imprinted in red italic.
cool about cheaper parts though
