Geforce GTX Titan Z, a dual Titan Black Monster

I think the main benefit of the Titan series over the 780 Ti is the increased double precision FP compute power, which is increased to Quadro levels. For the average user, a 780 Ti with 6 GB ram is as good as a Titan Black, so when.if we see a GTX 790 that will be the card of choice for many high end enthusiasts. The Titan series cards just don't make sense for gaming, even when 5K monitors hit the market. They only really make sense, IMO, if you use them as HPC cards doing DP FP work.

Lol what a waste of time and resources making that, does anybody know how many Titans have actually been sold?

To be honest, if I won the lottery, PC's would be the last thing I'd play with so I still wouldn't buy one.

Meh. Cheap as chips. I've put my order in...

... oh sorry, I meant for a boosterbox of Magic the gathering cards. And a Euromillions Ticket as well, if I win I'll buy 2 for OC3D and film me burning them.

Fuck that price with a big fucking stupid stick. 3k for 2k's worth of hardware when all said and done. Nope

Haha ;) Who is this? I think I remember someone round here with two Titans, is it him? :D
I'd have though Kaapstad might be interested to get a couple for benching reasons.

In all honesty I'd be interested if money was no option as it'd make an excellent 4k itx build. Have to admit though, I'm much more excited about whatever AMD is going to put out though, mainly from a "how did they do it" perspective.

For that sort of money you can build a beast 4960x system......

That card is definitely a "look what i have" product

No too slow.

My watercooled cards would have no trouble smacking a couple of these air cooled, under clocked, overpriced jokes out the park.

More seriously if anyone is interested in this type of card, I think the best thing to do will be to wait a few months as I am pretty sure NVidia will launch a proper GTX 790 which will be based on the Titan Z in the same way as the GTX 780 was based on the original Titan.

Such a card could come with the same PCB, 3gb x 2 of vram, same cooler and a price point of about £800

Hells no! If I had £1809.02 ($2999) I'd pay my bills and build a mighty fine gaming rig all at the same time, I definitely would not be inclined to buy this e-peen piece of crap.

Ah right, would you be interested in the AMD one if/when it comes?

The problem is these dual cards are going to be compromised from the start whether they are NVidia or AMD due the heat produced. Far better to go for single cards for maximum performance.

Here is an interesting pic I found earlier today

If you look at the power connectors, it only has 2 x 8 pins which is no where near enough for two full fat GK110 chips, meaning this card is crippled from the start.
