Time to Overclock MSM2

Where do I start to overclock MSM2? Anyone point me in the right direction for guides. How good is the E8400 to clock?

Well I have started to overclock the E8400 slowly,followed the guide,small steps. Have it @ 3.6Ghz atm. Is this any good?

nice OC mate,ime shure they can go 4Ghz with a decent cooler over 4Ghz with water

At 3.6Ghz it isnt stable"BSOD". Sunbeam Core Contact Freezer is installed with fan. Not sure what to do next? Do I up the volts atm it is 1.125v?

Well just base on coretemp you post its mean nothing to me, post cpuz and run prime95 at least 24hrs to check the overclock stable or not.

Up the volts for sure, it'll push higher than that. Just watch temps, but you should be ok for a few more volt steps.

If im going to push higher,what would be the best software to monitor temps as I use Prime95 ?

temps seem good at full load dude,i think you can OC more

try for 4Ghz on 1.4v

Hardware error,may be memory but not sure.Have set it back to default settings.Need to do a bit more research on OCing this E8400 and Biostar I45.

Tried again,will not go to 3.6Ghz more digging around for answers.

Probably a good upping of volts all around. Up the memory voltage and go up in small intervals. You're gonna want to up the CPU voltage within safe temperatures too.

I had it all set up @ 3.6Ghz last night,decided to run Prime95 over night to see if any problems. Problem was Win7 decided to do an update during the night and rebooted system,which stopped Prime95.

up th volts dude you have a decent cooler,up the ram volts loosen timings change to 2t if u have it set to 1t,i bet you can get 3.9-4Ghx easy on air
