Time for a change of case

Well I have the Snow Storm done to as far as I can get it happily lol. But it still leaves me wanting. I've been looking at cases til my head hurts. Think I have it narrowed down to a few cases.. HAF 932 Advanced like Tom used in the Shadow H2O build. I like the fact it can house a FAT RAD in push/pull on the top and still allow me to have my drive bays. I cant seem to get all the Cd's I put onto a hdd for installing to work every time so I want my optical drive back in the case lol. Also its a budget friendly case at 159$ plus 10$ shipping. Another case I'm looking at which I like the most I think but its at a premium of 250$ shipped but a steal at that price is a Mountain Mods Pinnacle 24. This is a slightly used case from another forum. But has the same advantages of the 932. However its just the case without any fans so I'd have to plop down about another 75-100$ to fill the holes that are pre-done for fans. The last one and by far the most expensive is the Corsair 800D at 279$ shipped same binefits of the others with rad support in the roof. But the 800D and Pinnacle 24 would allow easier addition to another rad for gpu's. The 932 would allow for another rad but at the loss of bays again lol. Anywho the purpose of this thread are there any other suggestion y'all can toss in so I can research more my head is only slightly hemorrhaging lets make it explode lol

well the MM pinnacle as he had it built was 349$ so yeah its a steal at 250$ shipped. I'll look at the Esylum as I havent yet.

The CM Cosmos 2 is just around the corner as well - although I don't know what price it will be - not cheap by all accounts...

Elysium is a nice case but way more than I need lol its humongous but its an option not sure about the cosmos as I've seen its pics but it hasnt jumped out and bit me yet. Will have to wait for its release and see its innards better. I'm leaning real hard the Haf 932 Advanced way cause of its affordability points.

How about the Corsair 650D or the 500R? Those aren't bad cases. You may also want to take a look at the Fractal Design Arc Midi. That's also a very good case for watercooling as well. It has good support for tall RAM.

think ya missed some key words up top bro FAT RAD IN ROOF PUSH/PULL so basically 4.5-5 inches from top of case to top of mobo or if ya like 115mm to125mm of room above the mobo

Oops, my bad. CM 932 would be a better case suited for your setup.

Do you think it's possible to fit a large 420mm radiator in the front panel of the 932?

I think the HAF X would be better choice... it's essentially the best of all CM cases put in one, and them some. I love mine... and I've had the 922 and 932.

yes a very good case and well deserving of consideration with the exception. It cant house a FAT RAD in push/pull on top yes it'll do push pull with a thin rad. As Tom used in the Assassin Build and remember half of the fans were outside the case under the plastic top cover Trust me I have looked at this case several times now lol and again just nowthe fact you can mount a psu at top shows me it'll fit fat rad push/pull on the 932 the haf x has 2 additional pci-e expansion slots that eats up the head room for the top and fat rad support

How about the CM 690 II Advanced/Basic? You can possibly fit a 240mm radiator at the top, and another 240mm radiator at the bottom?

Yup, it's good to be able to reuse parts again. Seems like the CM cases are the best choices currently.

I have a EK coolsteam xt 360 in push pull configuration in my HAF X and it fits no problems at all. Radiator is 47mm thick if you want a pic can sort one out for you.
