Ok , since I know everyone is here for the Intel bubble level/screwdriver/flashlight combo tool , I might as get it out the way first.

It's flat on one side and has a bubble level on the other......................

At one end it has a cap with screwdriver bits in it.

You remove the one you need and pop it in the hole in the other end.

DSC00836.jpg

there is a magnet in there to hold it in, with a light on top of the hole.

I don't do much leveling when building computers,so I don't know what Intel was thinking?

The screw tips are short so it's like a knubby screwdriver and can't reach many places, but I always need a flashlight when digging around in my case. I kinda like that it's got an Intel logo on it, has replaceable batteries , and the switch can be pressed softly for just a quick look at something or pressed down to lock the LED on , if needed.

So, I'm really not sure what Intel was thinking with the bubble level, but thank them for giving me a FREE!! emergency screwdriver and LED flashlight!! It will remain on my computer desk!!

dude clean ur keyboard its disgusting
biggrin.png
and what you dont level your HSF??? when you build ur rigs?? well dont complain when you have unusual temps then mate
biggrin.png
hahahahahahahahahahaha sry couldnt resist

I knew the keyboard thing was gonna come up. I bought that one to replace a perfectly good keyboard! I wanted it because it was backlighted and has an LCD screen. Both things I find disappointing about it once I got it, but for some reason It won't die, it has even been thru a flood. At some point I know I am gonna replace it so I guess I stopped caring about it, and never really cleaned , from when I got it back out of storage.

To clean that keyboard would be genocide.

From the looks of it there are whole microscopic civilisations of bacteria livin on it. Particularly the "4" key!!!

This thing I know nothing about, nothing in the box really, just i7-3930K, 3.20 GHz, 12MB Cache, LGA2011, 130W, Made in Costa Rica on the outsise the box.

Just a standard CPU really......... but it does seem larger than nornal

This thing is beautiful!!!! I hear people say all the time Pictures don't do it justice, now I know what they mean by that!

DSC00838.jpg

it includes:

-long SLI bridge

-Wi-Fi antenna

-I/O Shield

-User Guide

-support DVD

-case badge

-Q-connectors

-3-way SLI bridge

-4 SATA 6G cables 90 deg on one end

-4 SATA 3G cables 90 deg on one end

and this little guy:

DSC00829.jpg

It's basically a laptop Wi-Fi card, with bluetooth, on an adapter so it fits a standard USB header. There Is a USB header near the back I/O for it to plug into.

DSC00825.jpg

basic lift the arms drop in the CPU, lock the arms back down.

There is really nothing to say about these except....B..A..D......A...S...S!!!!!

DSC00826.jpg

I was expecting all black, but what doesn't show up in the camera is, there are channels running down the sides with a black chrome aluminum stickers with the BALLISTIX logo punched into it, than to tops machined to make the letters stand out. My SAMSUNG Captivate has GALAXY S like that on the carbon fiber looking aluminum back plate.

just line up the notches and press them in!

DSC00828.jpg

mounting the Bluetooth module is just like plugging in a USB header and screwing it in from the back.

The Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO isn't anything special, but at $30 it will have to do until I get my water cooling sorted out, than it will go on my Pentium 4 with LINUX as a back-up rig and If I give it away I'm not losing much.

I choose the Hyper 212 EVO because it includes mounting hardware for almost every socket. Since they recently updated it with 2011 adapters, I wont be stuck without a cooling solution, while my wallet is in the ICU!

My modded Corsair H-60 was pre 2011 so it didn't include 2011 adapter. I was gonna get a Corsair A-70 because I seen them going for $25(basically the same thing with 2 fans) , but I guess they are discontinued now and the places that still have them want $50 for them, so I got this.

dry fitted to check out the mounting system:

DSC00832.jpg

ZERO RAM slot overhang !!!

Looks like it would work as an updraft cooler pretty well with the top 200mm fan in the 600T.

DSC00839.jpg

it overhangs about half a RAM slot on each side.

looks like the fan would be 25mm of the top graphics card.

DSC00841.jpg

plenty of room for a second fan. The clips for a second fan are included with it.

DSC00842.jpg

Looking at this another way, the Cooler Master LGA2011 adapters might be just the thing to let me mount my H-60.

DSC00843.jpg

The threads in the top is M3 if it's the same in the thumbscrews on the H-60, all I need is some M3 set screws about 15mm long, threaded into the Cooler Master adapters!
biggrin.png

Only problem is if the adapters are to tall to let the H-60 set down onto the CPU, I'll have to get some measurements.
