Yay.... NOT!

Just got woken up at 8am... OMG sooo early.

Not the best wake up ever... Bit of thunder in the background and a cool neon light show from my PC.. :)

Silly Thunder..

Anyone else got a storm?

LOL - 8am, early? Are you kidding me? I'm already travelling to work at that time!

We had thunder storms here last night. Warwick is awful today, grey and wet. Boooooo

I was at my desk at work for for 7am, lots of rain but no thunder or lightning

Croydon has either got an electrical storm, or a nuclear bomb has just gone off.

Foul foul foul weather.

Didn't make sandwiches today and I refuse to buy overpriced work canteen grub - so I was wondering whether anyone wouldn't mind popping out to get me a sarnie? Or am I going to have to test the waterproofness of my recently washed coat?

Well, I went back to sleep and now I have woken up again..

Rain is still coming down..

And there is a driver coming through the front drive.

Ill take a piccar... If it carries on it will come through the front door. :(

Sure, because we are at HQ, the food here in the 'restaurant' (we have a team of qualified chefs) is pretty decent...

What can I get you, its on me?

BTW Tox, it seems to have been raining forever, Wed & Thu were hot and sunny in the evening.. Weather is weird atm...

Decent amount of rain there Tox :) Can you resize the images to 800 x 600 for us please bud...So they fall within the forum T&C's.

Saw lightning first hand the end of last week, directly infront of my window - perhaps 30 feet away.

50 million tall trees around and the bolt went right through the middle of them, without touching them, and landed in the car park.

The birds, that u don`t realize are there, suddenly left the trees en-mass.

Was well spooky, like a thick bar of flouresent light, and of course the sound didn`t come with it >.<

Sorry PV.. Ill get on it! ;)

Forgot!
np's mate and thanks for getting it done so swiftly :)

Here are some images of a storm that we had a couple of years ago that you may be interested in. These storms are typical in both ferocity and frequency here in South East Queensland where I live, the amount of hail however isn't. The last two images are from cctv cameras in West End, about 5 mins from my house. Bear in mind too that this is the middle of summer ;)

Sorry about that.. was in the middle of repling and POOOOF! Everything

dies..

But I was saying is Blimey those piccars are stunning.

The lighten ones are really pretty, and quite scary in the fact that just below them is a city.

And the hail.. wow? That looks like snow. :)

Glad you liked them. The lightning is quite stunning to watch and every bolt makes the house shake. Last year a power transformer was blown apart after it was hit by a bolt of lightning about 70 metres from my house. Man, that was scary lol. And agreed on the hail, it certainly does look like snow....probably the closest we'll ever get to seeing the real thing :p Tropical storms are extremely powerful, but unfortunately are rather short-lived. They usually pass in around an hour max.

Yeah I played in the snow when I was about 6 or 7, but that was in the southern most state of Australia - Tasmania (next stop is the South Pole rofl). But no, there isn't any snow here in Queensland it's simply too hot.

I was in the middle of a lightning storm once, was bloody scary. Sat in a tent in a field watching trees and telegraph poles get toasted.

You think that waters bad tox, you should see my driveway when we have a welsh downpour, wouldnt be able to walk up it tbh

Have any piccars llwyd?

lol, this is the most water I have ever seen in my front garden.

We live in the Chilterns Hills so not used to floods.. ;)
