Thinking of selling my watercooling and going AIO

With everything thats been going on with the GTX970 it got me thinking about my current build and maybe selling my current case with all the custom watercooling and grabbing a different case with a pair of evga kingpin or classified 980's and an AIO cooler like the h110GT.

my watercooling setup cost more than both my MSI 970's and I know it looks sweet but is it really worth it.

what do you guys think????

I think if you don't like to tinker and experiment and want bleeding edge cooling, then there is nothing wrong with an AIO.

They are cheap and no fuss. They look good and you leave a lot of aggravation behind from conventional cooling. Most of the time on the CPU, a full kit will get close to 10C cooler than an AIO. There are new models out that might you get you closer.

I have been getting the want for a micro build, or something small. I would go the AIO route if I did this.

I've been watercooling for so many years now that it would be odd not to have it but I think the money I spent on my watercooling components could be re-invested in a better set of gpu's

What resolution are you using?

Do you want to give all that up, for what a 25% gain at this time?

Do you enjoy the silence? I can tell you for sure, you are not going to be able to run an AIO with sub 1K RPM with comparable temps.

It is nice to just have a nice gentle hum in the background although the last time I gave an AIO a go it was for about 3 months and I used 4 Noctua nf p14s fan's in push pull at 900 rpm and it was with the same gpu's so it wasnt massively louder
