Thinking of changing my case...

I'm thinking of changing my PC case. My reasons are:

I would like a white one, more 5.25" bays for possible HDD caddy. So heres a few choices I found:

What to chose. They're all white and have usb 3 ports.

Thermaltake Level 10 GTS

Has hot swappable HDD bays (won't need a caddy), fits 200mm fans

CM 690 II Advanced

Looks clean design, will fit 5.25" HDD Caddy, Has a top sata dock 2.5/3.5" (might not need a caddy)

CM Storm Stryker

Big, cooling, will fit 5.25" HDD Caddy, hidden draw, 2.5" sata dock
Huge price tag tho, and bigger than my needs.

CM690II Advanced Black & White Edition.

I had the original 690II when it first came out and loved it. I replaced it with a Fractal Design Arc. I've looked at the Storm Stryker but too big for my needs also.

Basically what I'm trying to say is I chop & change my cases constantly.

I now have the Black & White 690II sitting waiting for me in my garage.

Fantastic case... can't fault it.

*Edit* ... and by the way, eBuyer are selling them cheap as chips (£69) with free delivery. Link

I use the black one and the case itself is really good to me. The build quality it fantastic and it's so simple and easy to use.

The only issues I have is with the side panel. The stock one sent has no window and instead 2 horrible fan mounts. Because of the location of the fan mounts and a support beam on the inside of it, it makes it very difficult to cleanly cut a window in it. They do make optional side panels for it though, but one looks like a child has cut it and the other is ok, but has a fan mount that ruins it IMO.

I know the white ones just come with a white side panel, so it would be mod-able if you wanted to, but if not then they dont currently make any windowed side panels for it

There is a white windowed panel available. I just can't find it available to buy anywhere in the UK.

Stupid fan mount though.

I have seen it online too yeh. afaik though, it isnt for sale anywhere in the world yet, but hopefully we'll see it soon. I dont understand why they cant just make the case with it straight away. They'd see so many more sales on it if they did

Apparently eBuyer have them but only available as part of a bundle (Case & PSU). Might be worth contacting them.

- Exclusive to Ebuyer, with windowed side panel
- Special Edition CM690 II Advanced in White
