Hi guys,

I'm taking the plunge and using a the EK Thermosphere block on my v2 card as they don't have a full water block for them.

but just a quick question would i need to add cooling to the RAM modules around the GPU or is that not as important?

I know on the v2 the vrm has a block already on them so i don't need to cool them just wondering what does as i can't find much info about it.

if you guys want i'll do some pics and show what I've done.

Yeah definitely add a few passive heatsinks to the card, on the vrms and the ram.

TBH if the rest of your rig isn't water cooled you may be better off with a NZXT kraken G10, it at least has a fan to cool the other components.

cool i've got the sinks on order but have got everything else before them and was hoping i could just add them later and the i've got CPU watercooled i brought the ek 240 kit and am just expanding it.

nothing overclocked at moment and will be adding 2nd 240 rad later when i get my 2nd gpu and waterblock for that.

as far as i can see the HD7950 gigabyte has the vrm under a passive heatsink already.
