Thermaltake release the Volcano 4008, as the all in one cooling system

This disapointing part is the tubing size that it comes with... I'm sure you could ghetto mod it to fit 7/16" or 1/2" however. Definately looks like an interesting idea, I'd like to see how it performs.

I dont get it:S

Technically, yes. But the performance would probably be WAYYYYYY better if just used as a standar waterblock in an already complete loop with a radiator, etc.

im sure it will be good, *if its done right*, hence case and ambient temps.. as in water must go in block before it hits the 120.1 rad.

Am I the only one that really wouldn't trust something like that anywhere near my CPU? All the thermalright stuff I've had as died (or been utterly crap), whats to say that's not?

Nothing...but n00s is n000s ;)

So they can only get better then, in your opinion? :D I think the idea certainly has its merits, and I've never used Tt gear before. :)

Thermeltake water cooling offerings are quite impressive, my CPU and both GPUs are cooled by Thermeltakes Big water 745, and i defo ordering the new volcano friday! when my pay is in the bank... It looks impressive indeed. But i do agree with a comment on a previous post. I would defo add this to an already existing water cooled setup, i doubt that the fan alone on the volcano would cool the cpu compared to having 3 or more.. At the moment i can have my cpu reach no higher then 23 degrees celcius. So doubt this will do much more. But i want it just because it looks better then the one i have. :-)

infact.. does anyone know when it is actually for sale, i can`t seem to find it..

Ive used the Bigwater 745 and 735 and besides the week pump they where awesome. Idk how this all in one solution would compair but it shouldnt be dissapointing.

/slap.

Theres nothing awesome about them. The block is a piece of copper with some stupid groove cut out of it, and a cheap acrylic slab stuck on top. A led here and there, tada TT. The radiator is aluminum, loud, and kills flow/pressure. With low CFM/noise fans it's as worthless as boxed heatsinks are. You're right about the pump. The tubing is terrible, and those quick connect barbs and hose hookups kill flow and are stupid. Saying TT water is good is like saying ECS is the king of motherboards in every segment.

Actually, ECS & TT are quite similar now that I think about it. They've both had 1 or 2 worthwhile products. ECS' "Xtreme" s939 boards were pretty damn good, along with TT's Big Typhoon success.

All in all, a Tuniq Tower will go up one side of a TT water kit and down the other.

 Always gotta be one. FTR almost everybody down here thats used this "basic" WC setup has been quite happy with it. Its "basic" for a reason. Your not going to get Danger Den quality goods for an all in one price of 99.95. Its not suposed to be the best, only work for people who want a cheap WC setup. Jesus.

The thing you have to remember is that this is an overclockers forum who value quality over cheapness. There's some very decent kits for ~ £120-£150 (Swiftech, Corsair), and perhaps they would be recommended by us, but not ever a ThermalTake kit.

XMS has had experience of ThermalTake watercoling kits and the quality in them is unbelievably low compared to every other make. For $99.95 you get what you pay for = bad quality

At OC3D we pride ourselves in recommending only the quality products that we feel we would want to use, and the Big water does not fall in that category.

Far more effective and far superior value and performance is a decent air cooler - A Scythe Inifinity or Tuniq Tower for example. Whats the point of going to the hassle (and possible danger to components) if you could get a decent and hassle free air cooler for less than the price and basically the same performance? In my opinion: no point at all

Becasue a 735 is quieter than most aircooled towers ive come across. And down here in Frys (where most people get there stuff) they dont sell anything else. Go with or go without. As to Thermaltake products being awful id have to disagree (since this is a Thermaltake subject). Ive used pretty much all Thermaltake products, and when i tried to change i had to go back. So far, nothing beats my Copper Tower112 with 2 vantec Tornadoes (or no fans for no noise). I currently use a Silent Tower on my X2 and it works just dandy. The 745 worked as well as the Copper Tower112 on a 2.6 X2 3800+ at 1.55 volts. So it was either loud Vantecs or silent water cooled. Go figure. I do agree you can get better with better quality but down here unless you order online you really cant. Most people just like to grab, buy and go.

Almost all hardcore computer enthusiasts will totally disagree with you about TT. They're products are totally under par, apart from the TT BT (which had to be lapped to perform VERY well).

everyone I know who is properley into overclocking/modding etc order online. There's little reason not to, and even more so in the UK
