Thermalright 120 Ultra EXTREME

If you are in the market to buy a new air cooler for your rig, you could do a lot worse than Thermalrights revised 120, the Extreme version, now with 6 pipes instead of 4!

Theare are a few teething problems (mounting is now requires a bit of modification) with the new design which Thermalright will undoubtedly iron out before releasing.

Temps are improved and OC'ing a X6800 was stable at 3.940GHz - on air! Add another fan set to push/pull configuration and you have a real winner...

Nice :)

Bit wierd how they tested it tho  no temps, just 'max overclock', there are more factors than cpu cooling in getting a max overclock tbh. (ambient temp, NB cooling, etc etc..)

"Max overclock" is worth nothing at all. So they got a cherry picked/es X6800 and overclocked it....big deal.

Well, if you look at page 4 of the review there are a couple of comparative temperature graphs for various coolers at stock and oc speeds...

Don't you just hate previews though? Just when I decided to get an Ultra 120 I now have to wait for the plus.

well max overclock is the same as any benchmark really, im assuming they used the same equipment and just changed the heatsink for different overclocks
